Well, honestly that will determine on the damage any nerve endings and how long it was severed before they got it back on. In the end he may be able to regain some function but more than likely he'll not get much use out of it.

Yeah, that's what gets me.... They freakin shot the thing... TWICE.... not a scratch. Good thing to know if I find myself in a swamp and need to defend against Gators or Crocs.
