Re: Let's See You

Hesitate, nah, not once I find A$5000. Then again Migwit hasn't told her friend we are engaged yet, so I may have to stray. I have a big hat too, that should help to make me inconspicuous s ssss , not stand out.

You make it sound so enticing and easy. Looks like having a purpose is financially draining but the compensation is rewarding in other ways. I'm not a player, so even if you were I'd let you down. Still, I'd love to get over there some day. It would be a good time in good company.

Your woman isn't as silly as you make out either, it'd take a big wedge to pry you two apart, I'd bet.

Re: Let's See You

Creecher, I see my darlin' friend in a few weeks. And just think, your picture's now available for her to see!!!! (See what you get for posting it?) :rollin (Now don't go taking it down, you!) Have to agree (even as a female) that there are a lot of beautiful women here in Texas! "We grows 'em special!" Do you attend any RenFests (or RenFaires, depending on your tastes)? I've found SCA-type folks are all very "real" (no pun intended), interesting, fun-loving people. Players need not (necessarily) apply!

And Texas women can smell a player a mile off, and subsequently high-tail it in the other direction..! :dance

Oh, and bring the hat. ;)

Re: Let's See You

Well it didn't take you lot long did it!

Yes WS your right I work in a library for my sins, although I tend to work more with computers than books

Not in the childrens lib though, the pic was taken when the library was closed as we were having a little "do" ;)

Re: Let's See You

You can have your post back now Pilch. :thwak You can see how bent up this one is.

Well Migwailer, You've given me more than I can bite off and chew. I have nothing to hide, so I will leave that old pic up. I don't go out, so I'm not aware of any RenFests over here. I do know of a Viking club that does re-enactments but have never been to one. It's not advertised, I guess you have to be a member or know someone. Not familiar with the term SCA. Concerning women, well I have just construed a theory. Down here, I don't seem to attract any attention. Players seem to know all the shortcuts, and swamp the field. I have some kind of repelling pheremone, at a guess. This is where my theory kicks in. The magnetic fields of the Earth are probably reversed, seeing as I am from Melbourne 40 degrees south of the Equator, and you being 40 degrees north. So therefore, I am likely to attract women, up north. Maybe your friend has been having the same problem. She will have to come down here if she wants to pick and choose. I have been studying the atlas and checking for economy airfares. Haven't much else to do. However, I still think I'm too old and poor for a young successful type, particularly if she's smart. Now I have to go away and formulate a theory on magetic fields reversing the ageing process. Where is that thinking cap, oh, umm, broad brimmed thinking hat. I know it's all for a smile, and a chuckle. Hope y'all having one. I'm off. :bat

Chauvy...

K. Here's me.

BTW, my real name's Craig. I'm an actor... Below are pics of a recent musical production of THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL in Salt Lake City (my character sends heads rolling -- literally -- during the French Revolution). I was cast thrice in 2 years in the same villainous role (Chauvelin, hence my user name). My final performance was this spring, when it wrapped at Hale Centre Theatre.

Cheers!

Re: Chauvy...

Wow, Chauvelin. They are amazing pics of your performance work. Tell me, does that poor lady need a neck brace to support that head gear??? Spectacular lighting and costuming. You must be rapt, to be in amongst that production team.

HA!

Yes, those wigs and headresses were elephantine (mumakiline?) :b

They were actually the original props and costumes from the Broadway and National Touring companies. And the set design and production values were indeed fantastic (read: huge theatre-in-the-round with three giant bridges extending to an elevated guillotine base at center, with open prisons below). We were also fortunate that we had one of the original New York fight directors to choreograph the final duel between me and the hero -- a thrilling sequence of slashing rapiers! Talk about adreneline rush! That was the funnest part.

Thanks, creecher, for asking ... I wasn't envious of the 'poor' ladies at all! But then, the gents had to pile on quite a bit themselves. Although, my scenes were heated in more ways than one. :naughty

Yes, quarr, Machiavelli was on my mind! :D

Craig, thanks for the great pics of you doing your "thang"!

Still like this thread, as well as the "what do you do" topic. Surely there are more pics of folks to post? I'm going to get one up soon hopefully... :wave

This is a picture of me in my dorm room, taken last winter. Notice the conspicuous boxes behind me... ;)

More pics

Great pictures Craig!
Since I went to Les Mis a few years ago I love musicals.
If I would ever get a chance I would like to play the part of Javert.
In both the jobs I do I work with actors on a regular basis.
The Close Protection thing is obvious, but when I work as a company trainer we often use actors for the role playing situations. It works really well and is a growing market here.

Here's two pics of me at work, doing both jobs :b
