Not really, I was the only brave one on most of our tour group along with my wife walking behind me to enter most of the rooms, open up closets and look under stair wells (that's where RedRum was written in red, I used the flash on the camera to get that, I'm sure one of the workers wrote that up there though). I thought it was so funny that ppl were like I'm not going in there.

An older guy made a comment "Yea he has nothing worry about, look at him " about myself as the tour guide asked if anyone would like to step in the most haunted rooms and I was like "I WILL!!!!"

Jim Carrey stayed there for shot from Dumb and Dumber and ran out of the hotel and said that he would never come back, but he never explained what happened to him and basically was frightened and wanted to check out immediately and stayed at some Holiday Inn

I would have been the same way, I always want to explore the "off limits" areas in haunted places

I could just picture you turning to the other guests going "we move...five meter spread..no sound"

That's nuts but gives me a great mental image, picturing Jim running out in his goofy way. Sounds like a great experience. I hope to go there someday

Its not, bro. This is the hotel that inspired Steven King to write The Shining. (The Stanley Hotel in Colorado) The actual movies hotel exteriors were all shot at the Timberline Lodge in Oregon. The rest of the (interior) shots were sets built in the U.K.
