Lights for Detolf

grabbed the last pack of dioder strips in Chicago 2 weeks ago.. just turned them on now and they are yellow tinted. sucky.

Its also doesnt seem bright at all compared to my puck dioders. I think Ill be bringing them back and getting the Inreda lights.. more expensive but will work better

Yup just got home yesterday with three packs of dioders, damn these things are worthless crap now, gotta drive all the way back to return them... I dont want my collection half dim and look like poo color, say goodbye to Ikea led lights cuz no one is gonna use them anymore.

Ikea switched weaker lights for their white dioders without telling us, DO NOT BUY NEW WHITE DIODERS FROM IKEA!!!

Is there a product that is worthy?

Tested out 2 packs of Dioders at my Ikea before leaving and thought they looked white. Got them home and they were definately yellow. So disappointing...

If any of you have some warm white Ikea Dioders you want to get rid of, let me know. I will buy them from you. I got stuck with the warm yellowish ones too unfortunately but I am about 2 hours away and its not worth me returning them. I already have a few sets installed so I might as well just keep going with the same ones.

If you try these post some pics. These intrigue me because they're wireless. My detolf set up isn't easily accessible to plug in lights.

Finally went out and bought my first 7 detolfs! I didn't buy any of the dioders though thanks to you guys. I'll be honest... I suck with wiring, etc... is there a way to easily light them up and have them all connected to one on/off switch for all the lights in all the detolfs?

You just have to plug them all into a remote switch. I run two detolfs with four dioder pucks in each with one remote switch.

Dioder puck lights are a crappy yellow now...the strip is the only one that shines white to my knowledge...neither give off measureable heat

I recommend Osram LED Stixx.
Run on batteries, but light´em up excellent...

I would describe them as cool white, not blueish.

Ung...batteries are not an option as I love to leave my collection lit all the time, and on weekends, i dont even turn them off.
I just came home now from ikea and I can't believe how horrible dioder are now. They are truly burnt yellow tint.
I bought the colored dioder also, and the whitest setting is dimmer than the old dioder on its whitest setting and has a lot more blue hues in it.
If someone has a alternative, please let us know as both of these lights are going back tomorrow.
