The little cartridges that come with figures are fun. And it is satisfying to load them into the belts.

In the old days I was astounded that magazines had a little moulded and painted round in the top of them. Wow, what attention to detail!

Now we have figures that have the brass rounds to actually load into the magazines. After putting the first one in you never see the rest again so it's one of those things that's cool but unnecessary.

I think LiM's Colts were 'pre-loaded' with moulded rounds, but it was still a marvel to actually have an opening loading gate.

I recently received a Ujindou SAS figure with a top break Webley and six brass rounds to load it with. A little fiddly, but worth it. From the side you can see the rims pressed up against each chamber.

The same satisfying feeling seeing those shiny cartridges in the gun belts.

John comes with ten, listed as "Rifle cartridges", but the Winchester and Colt revolver could take the same .44-40 ammunition.

He has three belts in all and a lot of loops, so the ability to purchase extras would be neat.
Yes, have I mentioned I like those shells? I used Battlegear shells for the rig belt, I only need a few more Lim Toys shells for the bandolier. I have Kaustuc Plastik die-cast Colt and bullets to use,,the Colt is the best I have seen, the VTS Colt is good too, I do like bullets. Most of the Gunslinger and forthcoming Outlaw accessories are surplus to my needs, therefore I reckon a Dutch with one outfit option, one sculpt with hair piece for hat and without + more bullets is the way to go and helps retain the price point too. Further parts snd accessories could be offered as optional purchases.

Once or twice, I think. :lol

I'd be down for a simple Dutch release. I want to add new and interesting looking western characters in LiM's characteristic quality. Sadie would be the first choice because there isn't much choice for western women. I didn't go for Asmus' Daisy Domergue, because it didn't seem right that my only example of a western woman would be one with a black eye!

The accessories are nice, but having bought two Arthurs I had a lot of pieces to place around the 'camp'. At some point they may come in handy for something specific. I don't know what other kinds of things could be offered with other figures.

It's funny with The Last of Us figures that they all come with a brick. Eventually I'll have enough bricks to build a wall!

Just a thought, I also like the guns, revolver, rifle but most of all shotguns. The best modern day pistol I have is by Virtual Toys VTS Rioter Dark Zone which infact is a shotgun with removable cartridges, great piece for my version of The Punisher. Other favourites include Hot Toys DX11 shotgun and Albert Wesker 3 barrel shotgun with infra red sight.

I like guns too, both 1/6 and 1/1, of which I have a collection of deactivated, black powder percussion (which we don't have to deactivate here), replicas and gas/pellet replicas.

This is a pretty old photo showing some of them:

One thing with videogames is that there's always a variety of weapons to replicate in 1/6. I'm glad the Schofield's coming with John. The VTS Wilderness Rider had the Spencer Model 1860 Carbine, which is a rarity.

Another thought, what is the building in the top right corner of the image?

It's the second version of Lego's Arkham Asylum. To it's right are the Lego Scooby-Doo sets (lighthouse, haunted house etc), and on the end the first version of Arkham Asylum.

That photo must be years old because there aren't any loose 1/6 out now, but the spooky Lego sets are still up there.

Part of the reason for that is because the production costs keep increasing and for secondary characters, it's not worth including tons of stuff which will result in a higher price than what people are willing to pay for that character, we dent to keep him below the $200 mark.
That makes sense if we look at how 6-inch figures are split into waves. I can see that having a figures like Arthur and John carrying a lot of accessories as they are guaranteed sellers while having a figure like Dutch being more basic, balances the wave out.

Yes I agree it makes perfect sense and those that wish to get their mitts on a Dutch very pleased.

JM isn't performing like we had hoped he would but I think we're still going ahead with the Tahiti enthusiast just don't count on any alternate looks, second sculpts or tons of accessories.

As for Sadie I really don't know, we have to design our female body and two other companies have made her already plus I don't believe the line will continue to be as popular as we thought.

Please don’t feel compelled to answer but I’d like to pose the question - what exactly makes you say the figure isn’t performing well?

If you’re comparing it to Arthur, you guys are doing a third run on that figure, which seems unfathomable to me. You had spoken of the insane number of figures produced during the first two runs…is a third pushing you into Hot Toys territory? I feel that’s not a silly question to propose.

If you’re comparing it to that, then sure I could see John underperforming. But surely you didn’t expect those same numbers for a character that was a protagonist in a game many people haven’t played. So I have to wonder what makes you say John isn’t selling as expected. Even if the jerky Chinese collectors aren’t buying, I’m sure the western collectors have to be good for a few thousand of these, no? If you sell 3,000…isn’t that pretty good in the grand scheme of it?

I imagine a lot of people will be ordering from Kit due to his reputation.

His pre-order doesn't cut off until 26th December so it crossed my mind, considering the present climate, there could be a lot of people waiting for their finances to be in order before committing.

The Chinese BBICN forum isn't buzzing though. There have only been five replies since the announcement on 18th November.

One was ecstatic; one I didn't understand; one thought the likeness or sculpt paint was off, and was worried their post would be deleted; one thought it was a good figure and would order; and the last one sounds like someone familiar asking for a lightly equipped Dutch, along with a possible deluxe version.

I’m sure that with your high standards and attention to small details, Sadie could sell really good and will look perfect.
No one but you can make her look greater.
And I think JM is really popular as I saw a lot of excitement for him across the web.. so I’m sure a lot will buy him

Well I'm really new to this forum and AM was my first but excuse me if I ask a dumb question but won't more people know about it after reviewers get their hands on it?

That's how I found out and told my friends and they bought AM too. If it wouldn't have been for the review videos I wouldn't be here now.

I'm also aware its TP release and we dont want EVERYONE to know to not draw attention but I really think after release it's gonna be even more popular!! Once again, thank you for the amazing figures you give us Lim!

Exactly my friend, hence the third wave of AM. Good point you make concerning TP many out there need to bear this in mind. There is a thirst for the genre possibly more so than those games. Taking a look in my crystal ball I see the opportunity to create a line of western figures that allows complete creative freedom, now that would grand indeed.

We never went in with those expectations, there just hasn't been a lot of buzz or excitment for this announcement and reponse seems like 50/50 on the overall figure and our sales projection given all the economical factors, engagement and response should leave us at run of a little over 1000 units which would not meet the standard number of orders we usually get.

You have to keep in mind we are being very generous with the pricing considering all it comes with and since production costs keep rising it might not be worth it to keep doing tons of accessories and clothing items when other companies can get more sales for figures that come with way less, which is why for future products like Dutch we will heavily cut back on accessories and other stuff, so that we can keep making these and still be able to make a profit.

All understood my friends, the real outlaws never had so much gear no more than the horse could carry. Keeping Dutch simple is best.
