The man of steel PF is made of PVC.

Thanks - found the thread in question. Sounds like it's a rare occurrence (and due to costume material) that they go the PVC route so hopefully nothing to worry about here. Also - a reply on another forum suggested that LOBO could be hollow so that would explain the weight difference.

There is no doubt that Lobo will be at least partially hollow. I just hope he has the same quality feel as Gladiator Hulk.

There is NO WAY I'm paying $600 for a PVC statue. Bad enough this will be hollow in spots, if it's plastic, it's going back.

Exactly, hollow saves money in materials and shipping costs both from factory to customers. Bad thing is we don't get the savings. I don't mind hollow cheaper materials. Just wished they pass the saving to us instead of raising them. Btw wasn't Lobo ex on low quantity a couple of months ago? What happen to it?

Not really. These things usually go by dimensional weight so actual weight is usually not a factor.

It seems SS no longer does low quantity alerts anymore, I have not seen one in a while.

Seriously with all the switch outs and the pose and sculpt you can't ask for better. Ideally I would have liked an alternate somewhat shorter gun. this one will probably scrape my ceilings.

I suspect the difference is the base. The Bats and Supes bases are monstrous and heavy. Lobo's doesn't seem to have much volume to it. At least this is what I'll tell myself hoping the PVC gods are busy looking at other pieces instead.

Yeh they got me good on this one. I used the coupon on this when I could have used it on another first. Oh well at least I got the coupon in for it. So I'm ok for now.

The base is fine. As a matter of fact, I'm more than cool with the overall look of this PF (I think it looks outstanding). However, I don't want any of it to contain PVC. Hopefully, SSC contained the PVC to the Man of Steel.

PVC complaints in every statue thread. I've got the Man of Steel PF and the only way you can tell it's PVC is by the weight. Everything else about it is indistinguishable from polystone when it's displayed.

I don't want to alarm anyone, but even if Lobo isn't PVC he will be hollow. Commence "Sky Is Falling" Protocol.

I'm just really glad to see them making a Lobo PF. I never thought that would happen and I am so glad it is.
