I've never played an online game before, just regular PC games and Playstation2. Being the LOTR lover I am, I preorderd a copy and I'm looking forward to trying it out. With my addictive personality, I already know I'll be having a lot of very long nights on the computer. What am I getting myself into?!?!? Well, regardless, it sounds like something right up my alley.

MMORPG's are really fun, it's like a second life but you can do cool things, and stuff...and kill people.

I've always enjoyed the killing part:D Just can't get away with that sort of thing in real life.

Here is the latest article at IGN.

It sounds very interesting but I just don't think I have the time required to get involved with it. I've heard the stories of lost souls playing WoW. :monkey5 I assume if you play as a group everyone has to be on-line at the same time. Isn't that a little hard to coordinate. I can see that getting stressful.

People who get lost in games have no lives to start with.. Ive played Ultima Online for the last 9 years and I run into those types who take the online world waaaay to seriously.. Those are the people I target to murder...:monkey3

Im looking forward LOTRO.

For those who are participating in the closed beta/stress test, I'll be on the Melendor (sp?) server this weekend. I'm an Elf Hunter by the name of "Darwin". If you create your character on Melendor server, post your name here and we can try to meet online.

So far it's really awesome, I'm a Level 6 Champion (Male Human) It's pretty fun, a lot more fun than Star Wars Galaxies was.

Nice playing with you tonight. :ring

Darwin, Lvl 16 Elf Hunter

Right now there are Elves, Humans, Dwarves, and Hobbits. Male and Female of each except for Dwarves.

It's really fun, And be sure to go on the Meneldor server, get some friends.

I installed and registered last night for the stress test. I wouldn't let me pick a server or start a character since I guess the stress test doesn't start until today.
