:monkey480s cheesy music? 80s CHEESY MUSIC?:monkey4
You're calling the greatest musical decade in history - CHEESY?!!!??

Holy crap, there actually is someone else in the world that agrees with me.

"I Still Believe" by Tim Capello is totally one of my favorite songs... maybe ever. And it's blasphemy hearing that cover of "Cry Little Sister" in the new trailer. Bleh. The movie looks like crap, but damnit, I'm gonna watch it for sure.

Uh, Dave, this says it all. And as someone who's 6th grade sock hop was themed to Michael's Jackson's thriller, I think I'm at least qualified to comment on the 80's.

But I do appreciate the "uniqueness" of the genre. Who doesn't like Madonna, Prince, The Bengals, Tears for Fears, etc.?

Love the original.

And man does that new one ever look like a crapfest... that is until you see the Feldman. I never though I would say this... but Corey Feldman may be the saving grace of this film.

W/o him its just a crummy vampire movie that you'd see on SciFi, but with him it could just be bad enough to be awesome.

Wow, how can you do a Corey movie without Haim.
This is probably going to suck. A lot.

But count me in.

Haim has a cameo role as does the 2nd Frog brother.

Actually, from what I have read, Haim's role is much larger than just a cameo. He originally pulled out - no one agrees if it was due to money or some other factor - but agreed to do a cameo. They cut most of his character's scenes out of the script. However, he finally came around after the film was near completion. So, the director went back in and reinserted many of the scenes and sub-plots in the original script. So, you might call it an extended, extended cameo. Now, if they could only get Jason Patric and Jamie Gertz to cameo - :D

And, I agree about the soundtrack - it was one of my favorites as a child.

If you mean The Bangles - then I saw all of those people in concert - Tears for Fears were very rude.
