One solution to the bare-looking neck is to add a self-made collar. Given all the threads about the durability of rubber (breaking down, and possible affect on the underlying neck plastic and paint), I found some black ribbon/cloth and fashioned a neck collar/wrap. You can even be creative with the use of fabric glue and glue in folds to recreate the ribbing found on a predator's neck collar. The back where the fabric meets doesn't look as neat and clean, but it's covered by the dreads anyways. I also found some shiny black trim - looks like a glossy and shiny black round shoelace - i wrapped some of this around the base of the neck/collar to create a more "bio-mechanical" appearance. This is easy to take off, and shouldn't degrade or negatively affect the figure. Plus it was cheap. The whole idea is to de-emphasize the bare neck and the ugly neck-joint.
I suggest a trip to Joann Fabrics. Never mind the weird stares that you'll get from the "blue-hairs" and the scrap-booking/quilting crowd that frequent the place. has anyone else ever had this experience?
