I'm just putting this out there. I would love 1:6 scale Lost line. Lost was one of the highest rated shows during it's 6 year run and has a serious fanbase that's still going strong 3 years after the show ended. The show was getting over 23 million viewers a week at it's peak. We're desperate for some Merchandise but for whatever reason that's been limited.

McFarlane released 2 waves of 6" action figures in 2006/7. They looked amazing but had almost no articulation.

Medicom released a single Jack Shephard Sixth Scale figure in 2008 which Sideshow distributed. It was a very nice figure but not on the level of Sideshow or Hot Toys. Not to mention it was the only one ever released.

Other than that there have been bobbleheads and Kubricks which are not really my thing. There was also doll line by "Bif Bang Pow!" which are some of the worst, if not the worst figures i've ever seen (go look them up)

So yeah a proper Sixth Scale by Sideshow needs to be made. I keep seeing lots of franchises not nearly as popular as Lost getting released and would love a line by you guys. A Jack, Kate, Locke and Sawyer to start with would be amazing!

Too much time has passed and people hate Damon Lindelof. I would love a 1/6 Jack with his tattoos and Locke but they're not gonna happen, much in the same way those awesome Prison Break figures from Enterbay never happened.

Johnny hit it on the nail. I was (and still am) a huge, huge LOST fan. One my all time favorite shows. But a lot of time has passed and they never seemed to get into the 'merchandise' aspect of the show. Also many people are displeased with Lindelof's post-Lost projects.

Having said that, I'd still buy Jack/Locke/Kate/Saywer figures.

Yup, it's time has pass. You can tell when everyone unloaded their custom Locke figures.

So it seems people would like it to happen but think it's too late?

Although you are all probably right that it won't happen anytime soon i see 2 reasons why it SHOULD happen:

1. Lost is one of the few franchises that both has a cult following and was a huge commercial success all over the world. Most are one or the other but rarely both. A cult following is important because that's the target demographic that will spend $200 on a figure. The commercial part of it will mean they might also get some people buying it who don't collect figures but are huge fans (which i know a lot of on various Lost boards).

And like i said there have been countless figures released based on shows and movies not nearly as popular that ended much longer ago.

2. The fact that it's out of the public eye and Disney/ABC are not doing anything with the franchise only makes the license cheaper to acquire? If a company like "Bif Bang Pow!" could do it there is no reason Sideshow or Hot Toys couldn't.

Well maybe it's just a dream of mine but Lindelof and Cuse have said many times that Lost was a billion dollar franchise and they expect it to be revived by Disney in the future, though they wouldn't be involved. So for those of us holding out hope, maybe if and when it's revived? I hope so at least though pray it's sooner

You're right, it is possible. And I would love high end LOST pieces. It's one of my all time favorite shows. In terms of Disney though, I fear they've forgotten about it. Since Lost has ended there have been two enormous developments for Disney: the Lucasfilm and Marvel acquisitions.

Medicom did a Jack figure. It was okay but still. There are several great LOST customs. Many have put together almost the entire cast.

LOST was a very popular show but i dont really think it will have a huge cult following that will stand the test of time...

:exactly:

At one point I had 2 Jack's (with 3 sculpts), Locke, Sawyer, Kate, Ben and Sayid completed with Juliet, Jin, Hurley and Charlie in various stages.

That custom Locke sculpt was what brought me to this forum. I would buy as many 1/6 Lost characters that any toy company would produce.
