I think it's very possible. Actually, I think it will happen eventually. If TB can do it why the heck can SS do it. I know the detail and work that would be done on him would be even better than the TB version and I would be buying it for sure.

I'd like to know this as well... it'd be an extremely expensive figure to make, he'd have to be like 20" or something... the benefit is that unlike General Grievous or Yoda in the Star Wars line a new body type in that size could be used for more than just one figure. For example you could get away with reusing it for Ents(with a plastic bodysuit like the Creature or Metaluna Mutant). Also if they someday get the 12" Marvel License they could use it for Giant Man.

This is interesting... He would be the same size as the polystone version, but poseable, right? I don't see a need for a 1/4 scale Sauron, but a Sauron action figure might be fun. He could be taller than the rest of the line, like the Knight Who Says Ni. (Although the Knight Who Says Ni has no legs...)

i'd much rather see NECA make a sauron figure in the same scale as their 1/4th LOTR figures. sure he would not be in scale with those 1/4th figures, but he would be perfectly in 1/6th scale with the sideshow LOTR line.

If SSC does get around to doing Last Alliance 1/6 figures they'd fit in perfectly with the Sauron poly statue. I don't see the need with another one really.

To be to scale, it would have to be about 18 inches tall, which isn't a 12" figure anymore. I am satisfied with my Weta Sauron, which rocks the house!

Actually,as others said above, it would have to be identical in size to the 1/6 scale Weta Sauron- 24" tall.

I don't really see the point of having an action figure that tall. Now a 1/4 scale figure. :drool Based on my calculations, a 1/4 would be 36" tall.

Actually, now that I think about it, those calculations were way too complicated. 1/4 figures are 50% bigger than their 1/6 counterparts--simple.

I would buy a 20" Sauron. The poly one was too much $$ for my budget, but I might be able to squeeze a $100 one into the budget. The poly line was all well and good, but it doesn't hold a candle to a possible, clothed figure that lets you choose your own pose. The 12" figures are way better than the poly line because of it. Bring on Sauron! I guess it could make a Wampa or a Bigfoot kind of figure available too.

PS No offense to you poly lovers, but this is just my opinion.

Elwood, you must have liked math in school. :google

I will want a Sauron that is taller than the other figures like the knight of ni. But, nothing as tall as the 1/6 polystone, that is ridiculous! I don't want a PF Sauron that is 3 feet tall, sorry, I thought the 1/6 poly was big enough.

I'd have to disagree with ya but hey it's all good. Just give me another Sauron :D

A posable one would be cool, but I think it would be MORE expensive than the poly version. The body would be a one off with no use for anything else and it would look virtually the same as the poly version except for a cloth cape. So I don't really see a SAuron in our future for either of the new lines - but they've surprised us before.

Well, they could do what Toz Biz did with the Galactus & Sentinel figures...
put a body part per figure. 1 arm here, a leg there... & VOILA!

AND... wouldn't something like this HELP lesser liked characters get a needed push?

*ss*

I also said the same thing about General Grevious in the Star Wars line, but it seems few people here think it would work. I still think it is a good idea. The piece for the figure just can't be the exclusive though. :google

If TB could do a Sauron why can't SS do one that's in the same type of format?

ToyBiz's Sauron was 10" or so, and they made probably 10x as many as Sideshow would.

So SS makes one 14" and it make enough for it to cost like $125 bucks. I'd buy one :)

I'm fine with my Polystone Sauron. He's in 1/6th scale anyways and having two of these big suckers is over-kill. A 1/6th scale Cave Troll would definitely be interesting, though...
