Does anyone have one of these Lord of the Rings Film Frame Collectibles from Sideshow Weta? According to the below ebay auction they were only available at theatres that showed the 3 movies in a row. They are now available through the MyCokeRewards site and I'm wondering if it is worth picking up.

I have one... Didn't get it from a movie theater though..

I got it for free when I ordered LOTR stuff directly from WETA in NZ..

I have two of these from Trilogy Tuesday. They are nice for what they are. Every single one is unique since it has a different frame from each movie.

Well, I'm thinking about getting one and giving it as a Christmas present. Does it feel "expensive"? Know what I mean?

The Film Frames are nice after all they have a piece of each Trilogy film what is not to love about that. They are not very big though.

I saw them on Coke Rewards too and am getting a handful. I do have one from Trilogy Tuesday. I remember when they passed them out at the end, most people were like, "What the hell is this??"
I was the only one in sight happy to get one!

I don't own this collectible but I do have about five film strips with 3-4 frames that are encased in a 5X7 plastic frame along with a pic of King Elessar. Just having these filmstrips brings the joy of knowing I own a piece of the movie.

Being a fan of the movie, I believe these film strips are "worth" a lot.

All the talk makes me think I should try and at least get one. Of course I have a film reel that is of one of the TT trailers. I could just make my own. :lol

They're pretty cool. It means something 2 me just because my Dad and I got 2 hang out the entire day.

I have two, and they are really fun; the only problem is they certainly can be addictive (but hey, what isn't in collecting).

:monkey5

I still have mine from Trilogy Tuesday. The film strips I have aren't that memorable, but it's a nice item nonetheless.

Picked up 50 of these when they first came out, from a local retailer who got them from SS. They were only supposed to be available to movie theatres for trilogy Tues., but that simply wasn't the case. Kept a couple and sold the rest for a small fortune during the LOTR craze :D

I bought mine during a time when LOTR fever was pretty much still high and there were lots and lots of them on ebay. Having lots for sale meant that I could choose the scenes that were on them, more choices is good :)

I think it's worth buying it, knowing that you own a piece of the reel that was used to screen the movie.

Some of these went as high as $500, depending if they had three "nice" frames or had Balrog in it.

There were some really cool ones.

Overall, it is a nice piece but pretty small.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe that these film strips come from the trailers of the films and not prints of the actual film.

That is why they has clips from the third film, which was just opening at the time.

One of mine actually has a frame from the extended edition of ROTK. It has Legolas at Edoras during the celebration.

The collectible I own is custom made. Apparently, there was A LOT of clippings left on the editing floor.
