Sideshow are really getting up some steam. I am having to do a rethink of how I want to divi up my savings. Whichever way I go the savings stay the same and my wants widen. I am having to narrow down what lines I am going to focus on. This is one I am foregoing, for previously stated reasons, even though I agree with pjam.

I just noticed the T-800 has sold out. Still no low quantity alert for the T-1000. No love for the hook arms?

Yea that is suprising, T1000 is a very solid looking figure that I would not want without the hooks.

Exactly! Don't want Ah-nuld to be lonely, right? Both figs are great, can't have one without the other! :D

T-1000 looks great and I am surprised is not close to sell out as well. I still say this line's awesomeness is getting lost in all the SW 12" hype.

Yeah, hopefully in hindsight people will realize the value of this line. But not before I get all mine first! Muh-ha-ha!

In my eyes, this line should have sold out right after Toy Fair, oh well, it's funny how some new lines take time to build up steam.............I'm sure the line will do well, at least I'm hoping it will..............heres to AH-NULD, :monkey5 :monkey5

Lately, it appears to be wrong if a line takes too long to sell. That the exclusives take a long time does not bode well for the sales of the regular figures.

I am selfish, in that I don't agree with Sideshows decision to make exclusives of this line. I would have bought them had I been able to get them locally, with the extra accessories included, and even though I don't have any evidence to back up what I say, I reckon it may be the same for other overseas collectors, whose funds are limited. I am in agreement with Evilface, the T1000 without hooks is just a policeman.

Its hard to swim in the rapids of Star Wars mania right now. A lot of figures that might have sold well and quickly are moving slow because people seem to be saving their finances for SW (and maybe LOTR); especially with a Star Wars announcement every month (sometimes more).

I hope once Terminator is seen by the masses at SDCC, people will get excited about the line. Like the excitement I've read about with the HT Predators and Aliens Marines. Guys I know who have those items say they are their favorite pieces right now.

I agree with Wor-Gar on this one. Star Wars is usurping all of collector's disposable income. I bought the Terminator the day is it was issued--heck, I currently have something like 9 figures waiting to be made!!! SS is definitely rejuvenated my interest in 12" collecting. I had gone almost dormant for 5 years while I was in school, and now SS and Hot Toys are producing all of these quality figures at the right time for me!! It seems like all of that schooling has finally paid off for me. More toys please SS!! :monkey5 :joy

Cheers,

Brad

Well here are a few pics of the HT Terminator. The dude rocks. The headsculpt is very good, but doesnt look like Arnold, so I'll prolly replace it with a Frontline head. But the rest of the suit and accessories are top notch. The leather jacket is untouched by anyone so far. It's thin, forms well with posing, zips up and has several zipper areas. The pants, shirt and boots are nice as well. The accessories rule, the longslide handgun, the uzi and shotgun are pretty sweet but the best item is the gatling gun, super detailed and with belts and ammo satchel, its a nice setup. Well worth the 85 I got him for on evilbay.

Here is is next top Pops Terminator 3 on a Dragon body. Man is he short. I'm going to swap him over to a HT body.

Very cool looking, EVILFACE. Everything looks great. I think the ammo bag is a nice touch. Do his glasses come off? Any chance you have a close up of his face?

Excellent! And a great price. If I could find him for $85 I'd grab him too.

I love that he's that tall over a dragon figure. His eyes light up, right? You didn't mention that so maybe its just a gimmick.

Thanks for the scoop, Evilface! I gotsta get me one!!!

Yea, his eyes light up, just havent messed with that part yet. The face sculpt is more detailed than that of those pops pics posted, those look a bit too blurry.

I got him from serpant99 on ebay, he post him and kyle in a auction once a week or so. Very quick shipping too.
