Wow - I had not heard any of this before. I always assumed she was young...but more like 17/18....not literally a real kid. That's just horrible.

Regardless of what might have been bandied about in story conferences by creepy man-child Lucas , it can be assumed that Marion in 1936 was approximately the same age as Karen Allen was when she shot the film, which was 29 years old. Indy states that he and Abner had a falling out (presumably over his dalliance with his mentor's daughter) about 10 years previous, which would put Marion in the 18 to 19 year old range when she had her fling with Indy. In 1926, Indy would have been between 26 and 27 years old(according to the character's bio, which lists his birth as 1899). The disparity in age would not have been THAT unusual in those years. Besides, it's never established that any physical relationship was consumated between the two.

So, the Indiana Jones established in Raiders is NOT a pedophile. Lucas?.......................hmmmmm

Funny, I was watching some of the "Special Edition" Star Wars last night, and the absurdity of that scene really stuck out to me (as did the rest of the modified garbage in the Special Editions). I guess Lucas was suggesting that Greedo was so bad of a shot, that despite his firing first he hit the wall several feet away from a guy sitting across a table from him. Ugh.
