They're over-emphasizing the moles on his face - looks like he's got a skin disease...

Eye's looks crap but the rest of the figure looks fine to me.

My God! This thing turned out abysmal. So glad I cancelled. I'll pick up the outfit loose from TA and slap a Hot Toys Luke head on it. No way would I pay $250 for a Hasbro-ish figure.

The moles on his face stand out way too much. It's like that's the only real detail they gave the face and they stand out like he has zits all over or something.

So I don't like the paint on the head-sculpt or the weathering on the helmet, don't like the body so far, and I'm slightly worried about the tailoring for the flight suit around the shoulders. To add to this, is it just me or is the paint on the helmet too orange where it should be more red?

Looks like it just came out of the rebel helmet assembly line, they didn't add ****.

Have to say I wish SSC would just drop SW 1:6 and make their cut from distribution. I don't care what anyone says, people will not accept this quality at these prices. A few diehards and modders may buy this but few others. I'm even starting to doubt they can pull off Jawas, now. :S

Looks like it just came out of the rebel helmet assembly line, they didn't add ****.

I was referring to the uniform grey stippling all over it.

I can accept some compromises and deviations in what's essentially a toy, but it's still too far off-model.

It looks like a slightly better painted Medicom sculpt.

Yup. I can see that. Love to see this with the Stormtrooper Luke head. Looks like their new body has the same problem as their old ones, with the arms not laying against the torso. How did they not try to correct that?

Who wants to bet Pixelpiper will come in at some point and try and make it seem like the head sculpt is still the most accurate ever produced and the Hot Toys sculpt is terrible?

It does look odd for some reason.

But when I drag the photo across itself, so that the shadow of the real helmet crosses over the SS helmet, it seems to line up remarkably well.

I think even Pixel would have to agree that the sculpt was completely ruined by those atrocious paint apps.
