The one feature that most sculpted likenesses of Luke get wrong (including HT) is the upper lip. Sideshow nailed that part. Definitely looks great with the helmet on.

Agree. I have the Luke Stormtrooper, and though I do think Hot Toys does an amazing job on head sculpts, I don't see much resemblance to Mark Hamill. Would like to order this figure, but not crazy about the eyes and definitely not happy with the price tag. Have reward points, but too much down the pike to settle on this just yet.

I just saw this in a Forbidden Planet and I find the helmet colours a little muted. That said, I would love to use the fanboy Luke head and body with this outfit. I'm hoping it gets cheaper down the road, currently I can't find it for any less than £220 in the UK, which is ridiculous for what you get.

Yeah, in hand it is noticeably too light/muted. In the movie, the emblems are a dark plum color and there's a lot more (and darker) dappled weathering. This has very light weathering in the same lackluster style of the SSC R2 - like someone did an even spray with an airbrush.

They occasionally get it right, but weathering has never been SSC's strength - compare any of the SSC sandies to the HT sandie.

I was really looking forward to this figure, but I think this has been the biggest disappointment since I started buying 1/6 scale figures. I agree with the above 6/10 assessment on the head sculpt. I know that the it wasn't going to look like the prototype, but this one is really off. This is especially disappointing as I think they did a great job with Hoth Luke. I think my biggest problem is the paint rather than the sculpt. Luke looks like he has a spray tan, and all the facial details are muted.

That being said, he does look awesome with the helmet on, so that's probably how I'm going to display him. Flight suit looks fantastic as well.

I wasn't planning on buying this because of the terrible head sculpt, but he is awesome with the helmet on, and after all, that's my favorite Star Wars outfit. I remember playing in the garden with my brothers, they were Tie, i was X-Wing. So many good memories!!!

Yep. good memories. I am having a blast even now.

Yeah, awesome! How did you make the helmet? He's one of the figs I want to do but the helmet looks tricky.

I decided to take the helmet off today and gotta say I really dig it, even the paintwork doesn't seem as sloppy as some i've seen. i've always prefered this luke sculpt to hot toys.

For those who have both the SS pilot Luke and HT Farm boy... is the SS helmet the same size at the Trainer Luke helmet?

Nice pic... I agree 100%. I like this one over the HT Luke. Something just looks off to me about the HT sculpt.

In dimmer lighting and from a bit of a distance I prefer this one also. The HT Luke looks really lifelike up close (and the SSC one falls apart up close in several ways) but you don't really ever view it that close.

Just saw a few YouTube videos of this figure and head sculpt is horrible. I love the outfit but since when did Sideshow started charging more than Hot Toys.
