Unbreakable was his best. Better than Sixth Sense.

He loses me after that.

I would agree had I seen Unbreakable first. Sixth Sense and Unbreakable are probably the best he's ever going to make. I liked the Village until the last 30 minutes or so (the twist) then I wanted to burn the theater down.

We perceive it the way you guys do because apparently the US is the center of the Universe. :monkey4
Oh brother... It's posts like this that turned me into an _______ a year ago!

Anyway, Shayamalan. Hated everything I've seen except possibly Sixth Sense but I guessed the ending about 20 minutes into the film.

And I've seen:
Unbreakable
Lady in the Water
The Village
Signs
The Sixth Sense

I like edginess in directors but I don't like pretentiousness.

Now I get why you love Harley so much :cuckoo: :lol

But nah, I've never been really interested in many of his films. While I did enjoy Unbreakable wasn't nothing to write home about.

Eli used to go on (and on and on) about how much better Canada was than America. Got on my t.its. They had this thread..ugh, got ugly. :(

I saw Sixth Sense in the theater, and Unbreakable years later on dvd. I despise the atmosphere of all of his movies, but the stories in those were too good. I haven't been able to watch any of his other films. I start, then either lose interest or tolerance very quickly. I never even tried with Lady in the Water or The Happening.

Actually didn't think too much on Unbreakable, I wanted more...

As for Village I loved that ending!!!! Classic!

I like The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, The Village, & Lady In The Water. I read the script for all of them before going to see them with the exception of The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable and still enjoyed them for what they were supposed to be.

Funny, I feel the opposite toward his earlier movies (I saw the first 3 in the theaters)--great mood and suspense, but gimmicky plots that aren't all that interesting if you take away that atmosphere.

If I had to live in one of his movies, I think I'd be vomitting non-stop. The lighting, music, rhythms and textures that compose his universe are disgisting to me. It does fit his plots perfectly, because his universe is the only place where those things and people would be the norm.

It was worth enduring for those two movies, but I've had enough now to hold me over forever. His universe just sucks.
