I must say, seeing:

an 8-9 months pregnant chick getting run over by a monster truck had to be one of the biggest "Holy ****!" moments I've experienced in a theater in a long time.

Strange that some of you are bothered that Mel isn't in this. You guys have separation issues. Not with Bond apparently. I thought Hardy did a fine job. Time marches on guys. Some day soon, RDJ won't be Iron Man any more. Deal with it.

At first I thought well if the damn thing really is "Part 4" then why not? But after reading Miller's comments about not wanting to make an "Unforgiven" type movie I get why they want with Hardy, and am also fine with it. Of course while watching the movie I took it to be a replacement "Mad Max 2" and so Hardy made perfect sense.

I often wonder about Iron Man post-RDJ. Sometimes I wonder if the "Iron Man" fans are merely "RDJ as Iron Man" fans. I'm actually really excited to see how that turns out, truthfully. It'll be interesting to see if ol' metal head will regress to the C-lister he always was before, after RDJ leaves the role.:lol

That being said, I'm glad we'll be getting a complete storyline before he goes...hopefully.

So as far as collectibles for this movie go I'm guessing that other than picking up a theatrical one-sheet we probably shouldn't expect to see anything else?

NEWSFLASH: Marvel signs Miller to direct Infinity Wars Part II

:D Sorry Jye, just kidding. You'll get your TV Whedon back in time.

Truthfully, now that I've seen that post-Happy Feet Miller's still got it, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious about what his Justice League: Mortal movie would've been like.

Too bad too, I'd love a Hardy figure. And Fiorosa with that mechanical arm. But I doubt anything will come of this -- I actually don't expect this to be a "huge boxoffice" in the sense that Hollywood now thinks: 1-2Billion or not at all. But this movie will stick in your mind long after the Marvel formula wanes. "Ant-Man"? Seriously? With that unfunny guy?

It would be insane and majestic.

That's because Bond is such an old character that by the time most people here saw him for the first time or became fans of the Bond films, it wasn't even the real Bond, Sean Connery, it was probably Roger More, Timothy Dalton or the 90's guy :lol Indy is a baby and relatively new compared to Bond, and there's only one version of him, but that will change in 40 or 50 years. By then, people will say, "Harrison who? Oh, the first Indiana Jones, right."

Interesting article with quotes from Hardy and Miller on where Fury Road fits in with the others: https://www.slashfilm.com/is-fury-road-a-sequel/

They basically compared it to older James Bond films where they're all basically about one character but don't have a set chronological path, and one movie isn't really a specific sequel to another one (prior to Craig anyway.) If you think about it The Road Warrior, Thunderdome, AND Fury Road can all work as a direct sequel to the first one. Or you could put them together if that's what you prefer. I like that.

People keep misspelling Charlize Theron's character name :lol It's FURIOSA, which means furious in Spanish.

"It's FurIOSA..."

ThreeZero did a Chappie figure, and figures from nu-Robocop, well after the film came and went. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that they would do Max, Joe (with deformed brother exclusive accessory), and Furiasu.

Russo bros are directing IW :nana:

While the prequel comics confirm this happens after BT, Miller has also said he'd place it there "if you held a gun to my head". But he doesn't like having a strict chronology.
