Wow! I thought this might happen a few episodes back when he started stealing money. I was still bummed when it happened. Don was in the right to ask him to resign... but I still felt bad for Lane.

I wonder if Peggy will show up in the finale or if they will make us wait until next season.??

I absolutely loved the way this episode ended. You went from what happened to Lane to Don taking Glen back to school and letting him drive the car. It was just great.

I hope Peggy is in the finale.

Man what an episode! I loved the way the Jaguar didn't start! I lol'ed. I felt so bad for Don, especially when they opened up the boilerplate resignation letter.

It show the big difference in Don's make-up and Lane's. Lane had too much pride to face his failure. Don just told him to start over, he had, many times. Sad how he left his wife and son alone to face it by themselves.

Amazing episode!
It was pretty clear what was going to happen with Lane, but all from how well the character was written, and it was very very sad to see it all unfold.

Some thoughts on the season finale:

I hope Don wont go back to being his old self :( (and all that ever he made so much progress with Megan and him watching her reel and realizing he was in love with her) But he kinda said something when he was talking to Peggy that he helps people and then they leave him -- like he was afraid to help Megan cause he thinks she would leave him. I really hope he doesn't revert to his old self, but I could see them doing it because a lot of people were bored and did not like Don this season. Plus a lot of people hate Megan.. :lol

There was some crazy drama with Lane's wife and Don. I felt bad for her, but it was really rude of her to accuse Don for her husbands "infidelities" - I guess sometimes he can't catch a break.

I really felt bad for Pete's mistress as well. I really liked her character. It would be kinda nice if Pete has an innocent relationship with her ongoing from now. Like helping her. I just feel so bad for Trudy -- she deserves so much better.

Nice finale. Roger is awesome!!!!!! Betty was only in this season for about 30 min. Total. I didnt miss her at all. Wonder what they will do with her in the future?

Agh man so many changes are coming. I really don't want Don to revert back to his old self but I just see it happening.

:lol What was up with the dogs doing it outside Peggy's window?

that was probably just to show that even though Peggy finally got to travel her accommodations or wherever she stayed wasn't as glamorous as she thought it was gonna be.

I am pretty sure Don is going to revert back to his old self. I won't mind it because he has been a little boring this season, save for the last few episodes where he was handling business. Megan will probably get a role because of her commercial and be gone for 3 months or something.

I'm excited to see how this whole second floor turns out. Since they are expanding we will probably get some more office characters?

I felt bad for Pete when he went to visit his chick. I am kind of hoping Pete helps her and saves her from her dreadful marriage/life. Now that he has a place in the city, he could probably keep her there.

Can a mod throw in the word spoilers in the title? I think that would be a lot better.

Loved the finale!
The music at the end of the episode was brilliant, and Don's look as he turned to talk to the young girl was brilliant.
Very cool season, I liked it a lot.
I hope Don doesn't become his old self again, I kinda like Megan, whereas Beth was a pain in the butt.

Pete Campbell is my favorite character on this show. I think that several men who watch this show envision themselves as Don but in reality most of us are like Pete.

i relate more to don pete is garbage hes a one person you hate at work.

Got a chance to watch the season finale last night. An OK season overall, but the last few episodes really brought it. I really enjoyed Don's meeting with Ed Baxter, his scenes with Lane, and the ending to the finale. It seems he's definitely reverting back to the "Lion" that he used to be, which I for one am very happy about. Good drama is made with flawed characters that we love one second and hate the next. Can't wait for the next season!
