...people ***** against Mafex on the Mafex thread and say Mezco is better, and people ***** against Mezco on the Mezco thread saying Mafex is better. And often is the same people. Hilarious!
Buy whatever you want, don't let us who have standards dissuade you from it.

For the record, I still think Mafex Superman look better than Mezco, too bad it's made out of half rotten plastic.

Another break... This ones from Instagram.

I really, really hope this isn't a common problem.

wow! :horror:

Not feeling too confident about my POs now. Might just sell them as soon as I get them and just take the hit. Better than being stuck with a broken figure

Just got mine in today. All the joints seem fine on both figures so far. Cape on Supes is way more manageable than I thought from the pics

So I got mine yesterday, excellent sculpt and poseability, generally pretty tight and sturdy, though not quite as solid-feeling as the TDK 2.0. The only bummer is it has a shiny black streak across the forehead; in most lights, you can't see it, but under bright light it stands out really clearly. A real bummer for an otherwise excellent figure (so far).

Strange, I've seen one Mafex Batman with a broken leg, and now that one has a broken waist. Batman seems to be the Mafex Victim this time around. Sure hope it's not a widespread issue, I'm planning on getting Batman soon

not just batman ,just got supes broken in the tray :thud::gah:,to be fair it could have been due to rough handling by customs inspection ,£31 duty :gah:,batman has missing accessories, just emailed hobby link japan and sent pictures

Ohh ****, sorry to hear that Libby. It sucks, I've only had one figure broken on me, and it was because of my man handling, my first Neca Predator, hasn't happened to me since.

Hopefully HLJ comes through.

More reviews.

It seems the problem is localized strictly in that crotch area, maybe you could reinforce it before it breaks on you.

As nice as these figures look (espicially their Wonder Woman) I glad I waited before jumping in and buying them. Not taking such a risk on importing such fragile figures.

thanks man appreciate the sentiment :duff
yeah its extra disappointing as i paid £90 for them delivered and a extra £31 customs tax ,at best hlj would replace them and id have to pay another £31 in tax or they refund me and ive no figures and still £31 out of pocket on my tax paid :slap
as for the breakage ,the leg was off in the tray before i touched it ,could have been put in there like it ,damaged in transit or the customs guy bust it ,gun ,batarang and torch thing missing from the batman set also so it seems like someone had a good look at them and lost a few small bits:slap .
the only picture ive seen of broken legs are the same leg and the unbroken batman seems "less free " on that leg also ,dare not touch it too much as it feels suspect ,hope it not widespread ,as they are great looking in hand ,and would be a ton of fun to mess about with if they were as sturdy as they should be :thud:

That much extra for customs? :horror daaaamn.

Did you take video? It's always advised to take video if you suspect it comes like that out of the box, but I don't think it's necessary in this case since it's so clearly a Mafex QC issue.

I've head that it's also advised to give the figures some "physical therapy", meaning, using a hair drier or hot water to loosen up the joints and it's easier to move them without breaking them, I prefer to use a hair drier since I don't know what could happen to the plastic with water over time. So you could try that for Batman.

yeah thanks for the heads up on that ,i tried that after the debacle that was the 7 inch neca reeve superman ,heated up bats but he felt worse to be honest like it would tear rather than snap ,so im scared of touching him right now

24 hours on and no word or acknowledgement from hobby link japan in spite of informing them about the other instances of same leg breakages reported by other buyers pointing to a manufacturer's quality control problem :thud:

yeah thats the price of living in europe im afraid £31 customs charges
heres the insult that added to supes injury :lol
