Haha my thoughts exactly, my last three purchases have been mafex.

I'm wondering how it will scale with NECA figures as well. Regardless, I've got one on pre-order through BBTS and can't wait to get it.
I found this photo on twitter that makes it look like it's over-scaled in relation to Mafex humans by about the same degree that NECA xenos are over-scaled to NECA humans, so I suspect the Mafex will not look too under-scaled next to NECA humans.

It’s quite impressive that they actually went to the trouble of sculpting the shape of Bolaji Badejo’s legs correctly...

It is a gorgeous figure with some great articulation....the clear domes come off the heads really easily though so I glued them on...other than that toes pop off easy but it is a great figure overall

He's got some pretty nifty photos on his blog though - bionicvampireninja.blogspot.com , including the Rambaldi head.
i completely understand that my opinion has zero value for anybody who buys this, but after seeing final product i definitely don't like it.
those joints are terrible, as well as areas (not) covering them, and skin looks like glossy plastic.
i'd expect $15-20 price if i saw this figure on ebay.
i promise this will be the first and the last time i mention it, unless specifically asked about it.

I'm going to ask you if these latest pics improve or worsen your impression because I kind of agree with you, I suspect the price on this isn't justified
I respect that they've tried to provide options with the head because it seems to be difficult to do a one-head/movable jaw that pleases everyone when it comes to the '79 Alien but the execution of the dome in the sideview is looking pretty bad the way it juts out so far.

Ok, so looking at mine up close I see the differences. One set is more relaxed, one set has the fingers spread open, and one set has the fingers spread open with the fingers fused together down by the tips. I'm guessing Medicom must have saw these hand positions somewhere but the differences are very subtle. I thought the inclusion of the extra head was a little odd as they just could have given you one with changeable jaws and be done with. I'm not complaining though. I love the figure and will take the extras even though they're a little redundant.

Regarding the photos for Mr Wong's Rambaldi head, that's not right at all. The dome should be flush with the face, and in other in-hand photos I've seen it is flush. So it looks like Mr Wong's got a dodgy dome there.

That dome really has me worried...
The paint apps and overall sculpt look nice. I always had a beef with some of the articulation, especially the hips, but it is what it is.
It certainly isn’t the NECA-killer I thought it would be.
