Man, this is a great shot. I love how subtle the eyeball, socket and teeth are lit, very creepy, as if his evil side hasn't been revealed yet, and he's slowly stepping into the light for the first time. :clap

Great collection man!! :rock

I appreciate that. :1-1:

Thanks! That's my favorite to! :hi5:

Re: Maglor's Thread

I LOVE the way you display things...your shelves are similar to the ones I want to get when I get my own place.

Re: Maglor’s Menagerie & Figure Photography

Thanks a lot, my collection is small enough that I don't need to keep it all in detolfs... although as my collection grows I'm starting to realize that Display options are getting more and more limited. :(

Re: Maglor’s Menagerie & Figure Photography

I don't know how many people follow this thread, but I have a question that I would like you all to answer honestly:

When I post pictures of my figures is it irritating that I post 10 or 20 pictures of the same figure?

The reason I do it is that I have trouble narrowing it down more than that. I might take 30 or 40 pictures and I already have a hard time narrowing it down to 10 because I like the light in this one and I like the camera angle in that one etc, etc.

Anyway, although this is my thread, I want to hear your thoughts. :)

Re: Maglor’s Menagerie & Figure Photography

Ha you should see my collection. THAT is very small.

I think it's cool with the different pics of each figure. But maybe to save you some time you could ask if there were any requests for close ups? I know I like asking people for pics of certain things in their collection [not in a creepy way, just for detail.]

Re: Maglor’s Menagerie & Figure Photography

I'm starting to get more into photography again since a couple of weeks, so I've been checking this thread regularly.
I usually don't like it when people clog up other threads with long series of pics that are often alike, simply taken from slightly different angles. But since this is your own thread I don't mind, but most importantly since you take your time to get different lightings, play with the light and shadows, your pics are not simply from different angles, but also unique in their own way. There is a big difference between simply taking a series of 10 similar snaps you just took, sizing them down and posting them, and picking out your favorite ones (even if they are 10 to 20), cropping them to the exact size you want them to be and posting them as a series.

I appreciate the feedback guys. :)

I'd be happy to take any close-up's requested.

Thats cool! :rock

And FYI, the camera I use is just a point and shoot. I'm pushing it to it's max potential.

Thanks for that. Glad you see what I'm going for.

I do have to admit that I have been guilty of spamming some threads other than my own with my pictures. Most of the pictures in this thread have appeared in their respective themed threads. DX02 thread, Mad Hatter thread, etc.

Maybe I'll be more selective with that in the future. :duff

your pics are steller.

Thanks a lot!

Mag, my friend, since my last visit, what marvels in addition! It's always so magic! :clap:clap:clap
:( An only regret: you have changed your avatar again! (Obviously I'm kidding! :lol)
... But if it's for the lovely Michelle, I agree! :hi5: :D

Getting in touch with my feminine side. :D

Hehe ... Probably! :wink1: :lol

Yes, she looks particularly made a success! I really regret not having begun a collection Tim Burton (but hey: we cannot be everywhere at once, right?!) :D

Re: Maglor’s Menagerie & Figure Photography

Cheers baloo. I know what you mean. There are a lot of things that I would love to have, but don't. Thankfully we can all come here and live through the collections of others. :)

Creepy good! I'm liking this figure more and more with each of your new pics Mag. Perfect lighting for the character :rock

Thanks man. If you're gonna get her, I wouldn't wait. ;)

I still can't get over how much it looks like Michelle Pfeiffer at this angle:

Re: Maglor’s Menagerie & Figure Photography

Cheers Mag! :duff
As you are quite right!

Haaa, Michelle... She will have been turning so many heads (starting with mine, hehe!).
I can not help but think back to the Beatles song (although it is obviously not about the same Michelle, but well... Nostalgia, nostalgia...) :chillpill:
