Looks awesome so far, paint looks great.

How are the joints on the mechanical arm?

mechanical arm works just fine. fingers are articulated and overall it works great.

As for the body, I HATE the Pro body...just my personal feelings of course...I had him up in the stance for no more than 10 minutes before he did a face-first dive. That was the same thing that would happen to Zartan and it's all because of the retarded rubber knee joints.

As for the chest armor, I would hold off on judgment until you have it in hand. it is a bit big but looks better in person.

Sounds fantastic Lord Piper!

I almost forgot, does he have his Joe dog tag collection if so, any names on those tags?

As for the armor not being black, I'm indifferent, given the card art:

I concor, people have to realize that the paint apps back then (80's) are not what they are today and the art work could not translate well to the figure/product.

couple of more notes. The mechanical hand has two holes with matching pegs on the launcher for better grip. the missiles have moving components that allow it to stand as shown in the picture. Also, there is a small foam set that comes with the fig, which i presume are meant to be stuck inside the helmet for a snugger fit. a little futzing makes this thing a real nice piece.

Cheers Lord Piper for the update and more photos, looks like it is a great piece.
(Hellboy fades from my mind :yess:)

They're too busy with DC to give a **** about their other 1:6 lines. We're getting SS and CC redos, but at least they're not blatant rehashes like the clones. :lol

So his holster and boots should be silver too?

I say the armor on the card art is intended to be black. The silverish tones are just to show detail and light reflecting instead of just straight up black blob.

Oh well, I have have paint to correct the $175 doll.

thanks dude for the early pics. it looks good so far. i'll be getting mine Tuesday 24th. so i'll get a better look then. can't wait.

No, you can see that there're two different tones in the card art. His arm and aspects of his chest armor look different (gunmetal) than other pieces of his armor, his holster, boots, etc, which look like highlighted black. Honestly, it's open to interpretation unlike most of the other stuff. I could argue that the black on the figure was cost cutting on Hasbro's part which is why I'm fine with it. It can easily go either way really, because neither's wrong. :huh
