Okay, we're probably done. And we deserve to be out and the Rays have earned it.

But I gotta say this: ^^^^ TBS and their obviously biased announcers. What a bunch of god damned cheerleaders. Seriously, it must stand for Tampa Bay Suckoff station or something. Awful. :emperor

(P.S. I'm pulling for the Rays in the WS)

Other than NESN, to which the response is duhh, I don't think any network is anything but anti-Sox, I could have choked Joe Buck for blowing the Yankees everytime he opened his mouth in 2004.

We gave it a good go, but Tampa's got a damn good club and we're not playing for ^^^^.

I'm pulling for Matt Stairs (good ol' NB boy)... and the Phillies too I guess.:D

Yeah, Buck's a piece of crap but this is unreal. This TBS guy had an orgasm on the air when Longoria hit that HR.

That is hilarious coming from a Boston fan. :lol I have no doubt the TBS announcers are being biased, but usually Boston is the team being praised by national media. This is the first time I've ever seen it the other way around.

If I had to guess, I'd say they're feigning excitement for Tampa Bay to drum up the much needed excitement for a World Series with no headliner.

No disrespect to either team, but we all know the television audience will not get behind a Tampa Bay vs. Philadelphia World Series the way it would if it were Boston vs. Philadelphia. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

Huh? You're kidding, right? Some national media (like ESPN) like to trump-up and over-hype the Yankees/Red Sox rivalry (for their own $$ motivations) but you haven't been paying much attention if you've watched Red Sox games on networks like Fox, TBS and even ESPN the past few years. Like MaulFan said, only NESN (which is the home, flagship station of the Sox) really blows smoke... the rest can be downright anti-Red Sox at times. Joe Buck is absolutely insufferable when we play the Yankees on Fox.

I admit I don't see too many Boston games, but when the Brewers came to town in May, one of the games was on Fox. The way the announcers were calling the game, you'd think Boston was playing themselves.

Remember all that business a couple years ago with Boston as the Rebel Alliance (the good guys) and the Yankees as the Empire (bad guys)? You can't tell me that wasn't biased.

I believe that spawned earlier from the Yankees winning so many world series, they got labelled the evil Empire and then when the Sox finally got to a point they had a chance to take NY, they brought out the Rebel-Empire analysis, but again, that's marketing.

Irish and I are talking about how the commentary goes in games, like a Sox guy swinging at a pitch and missing and saying it was a bad swing and the opposing team doing the exact same thing but in that case it's a great pitch or something, weird stuff, like credit can't be given to the Sox when they do right and tear them down when they screw up. Fortunately, most of their games are on the local network, but I'll say this, for the home team network, Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy are very fair about blaming and crediting both sides of the game, pretty unbiased for the team broadcasters.

Believe me, all media would rather the Red Sox win it, and if the Red Sox wins tonight, they'll be thrilled. They hated the Indians making a run last year because we're nobodies in their eyes.

The Red Sox are making a run now and the announcers are getting excited.

Boy, the Tribe blew it last year! That was hard pill to swallow after being up 3-1.
