I'm sort of torn... I want to see Boston blow their wild card lead to TB, but then again the Yanks play the Rays 7 out of the final 10 games and I'd never pull for any Yankee loss.
Would seeing Boston collapse and blow a 9 game lead and miss the playoffs make up somewhat for 2004?

The Sox have 8 games left. 5 with Baltimore.
The Rays have 10 left. 7 against the Yankees.
I'm not overly worried.
The way the Sox have played since the Yankees went to Fenway and took the series it doesn't matter who they play, they've been awful. Sox are riddled with injuries but can't rest anyone for fear of epic collapse.
Meanwhile, the Yanks will be resting players in preparation for the playoffs so it wouldn't surprise me to see the Rays take a bunch of those games.
From division leaders to most of the year to panic in Boston.

No way, not a chance. The Yankees organization have too much pride to sit players.
The Yanks under both Joe managers are notorious for sitting players that are nicked up or need rest day throughout the regular season.
