Wow that Derek Jeter & his Yankees are so horrible, not only is the fan who caught his 3000th hit ball getting a boat load of memorabilia, he's also getting his own Topps Baseball Card.

:lol

"Memorabilia dealer Brandon Steiner and sporting goods CEO Mitch Modell said they will make sure Lopez gets at least $50,000 toward his outstanding student loans of $150,000."

Evil Yankees you suck!

I'm glad everyone is making the Phils the favorites again this year, how did that work out for you guys last year again? :)

I always maintain what you did last year has zero relevance. If you honestly believe that, you are the one with the problem. I'm a marketing guy. So it's never look what you did! It's what can you do for me today. :lecture

So live in the past all you want. Good luck with that!

Thanks for the link.

This is what I wanted to hear:

MillerCoors released a statement Wednesday offering to cover any taxes because it "believes you should be rewarded for the right thing, not penalized."

"Our aim is to help and make sure he can enjoy ... the gifts we are willing to provide," MillerCoors spokesman Julian Green said, "without overburdening him with taxes or more debt."

This is nothing more than a profit train, not that I blame anyone for jumping on it.

Great for the kid, though, as he deserves it for doing what most wouldn't have.

He's also getting a party thrown for him, which is very cool!

I just hope when they say that they're covering the tax bill, they take into account the additional 15% or so this kid will have to pay on his regular income as well since he'll be in the 33% or 35% tax brackets.

I have a problem? :lol. I didn't do anything last year, but the Giants sure did, and are more than capable of doing the same thing. I don't know how what they did last year has zero relevance, it's not like the teams are completely different. Someone still sounds bitter

The Sox had a great series with the Yankees this weekend taking the season series. 2/3 was what I was hoping for the weekend. 49 games to go, now it's time to build that lead up.

Out of curiosity, is there interest in who actually wins the division in the AL East or is the thought that both teams will be in the playoffs anyway? The national media is playing it like it doesn't matter, but I have to believe there is still a lot of pride in NY and Boston to get the division title.

Yeah the general thought in the region is that both will make it. It really does mostly come down to a pride thing. Home field throughout the AL playoffs would be a nice bonus too. I'd rather see a potential ALCS Game 7 at Fenway rather than the toilet in the Bronx.

Big series for the Cards tonight versus the Brewers. Pujols is just about back to being Pujols(after feasting on Marlins' pitching).

Would've been nice to have Waino right now.
