If Damon hadn't signed with the Indians the day before Ellsbury got hurt I could have seen them signing him in a panic move.

As it stands now good luck to the Tribe with him for the season.:wink1:

The guy can barely play a whole game without something hurting and he drops the damn ball too much.

And that steroid enduced forhead of his!

:monkey4

Man, I remember Wood's 20 strikeout game. I thought he was going to be on his way to one hell of a career!
1998 was a pretty exciting year for Cubs fans I guess, I believe that was the Sosa/McGwire HR year, start of Kerry Wood.

They were just talking about that game on Espn1500 Twin Cities. :lol

This guy had the baseball world in his hands after that performance. Thought Woods would be a stud for 10 years to come. :(

What could Wood and Prior have been without Dusty Baker ruining them?

:lol:lol

I was thinking the same thing about that clown Baker.

Finally, the Yankees get a great pitching performance... way to go Andy Pettitte!

How about Verlander - man! Trying to be like Nolan Ryan, racking up no-hitters.

I thought he would be as well but the cubs ran him into the ground and never handled him right. Hell, they did the same thing with Mark Prior.

Yep, It's really too bad. One of the worst things that can happen in sports is unrealized potential.

In this case, the problem here was Cubs management......Dusty Baker.

Twins win 4 in a row... :horror

Someone break up the Twins. :lol

Or just throw Marquis. :monkey2

Man I was sooo happy to see them get on a winning streak, then checked the scores today and was bummed.

Freaking Marquis. I really dis-liked that guy while he was with the Cards. Decent pitcher but his ego got in the way too often.

1.2 innings, 8 earned runs today. ERA is 8.47 :horror

There's serious talk about dropping him from the rotation. Twins spent 3 million for him this year. :gah:

By the way, Twins run differential is at -70. Next worst is -37 (Cubs). :lol
