Sucks for the Yankees. Blow a big momentum changer in the 9th, and lose Jeter for the rest of the post season.

Also, what's with them not selling out home games? Have they become the new Atlanta? I thought New Yorkers loved their Yankees... :dunno

The 11th inning killed the Yankees. They tried to play big ball instead of simply scoring the winning run. Ichiro leads off with a single, has second stolen easily and despite going 0-5 at that point Cano swings incredibly late and fouls the ball off instead of taking the pitch. You have to let the winning run move into scoring position. That catastrophic 12th inning should never have happened.

go gigantes! Too bad they're are starting off at home, that used to be a good thing for this team :slap

See, this is how a blown call can hurt.

Infante, who was called safe at 2nd, just scored a run for the Tigers. Since I'm not rooting for the Yanks, it's good for me... but not for the sport.

Baseball really needs to adopt a system to review a play to confirm/reverse an official's call.

Down 0-2, going to Detroit for three straight, and still haven't faced Verlander. Beautiful.:)
