The only thing I dont like about that bust is that you can clearly see the skull....when you never could in the movie. Eh...

Yep, you sure can. The shots are so quick & dark it's really hard to see. Check out some of these production pics, though (with Sigourney & Giger). You can certainly see the skull:

Pics or they never show it. I could watch the movie...but im not in the mood at all. Plus, i've watched Alien every day when I was younger, and until the McF A&P set came out, I had no idea the Alien had a skull.

Bingo. Thats my point. I know he HAS it, but I could never see it...
I like how a lot of the tubing details are actual springs and things, pretty neat.
The only real dissappointment on this bust for me, I've still ordered one, is that I thought the flat, long heads on the 1/6 figures were because of the springs and mechanics to make the jaw work, but here there is nothing like that and they still don't get the head shape right. It's not a deal breaker, but still a point of let down.

LOL! My god, you guys are an argumentative bunch, This is a pic from the filming of the end scene where Ripley shoots the Alien with the harpoon gun & sends him out the airlock. If you wanna argue that you can't see it, then have fun. But this an actual picture of the actual filming of an actual scene in the movie...

This bust really looks great. Fantastic detail, there is so much happening in the design. Pretty close to Giger's design. To bad I don't collect busts, but reviewing this awesome piece made me finally crack down and order the 'pile of Aliens' this morning! Only 20 left btw.
You're missing their argument though. They're not challenging that there was a skull in the film costume, but point out that because of the lighting and the KY smeared all over the dome, in the movie, the skull doesn't show through much and they feel the collectibles should reflect the screen appearance, not the prop design.
Similar for me, the updated images of the Pred bust had me on the edge of getting that, then this one came out and I was sold, and part of me was like, well, can't just have Alien by itself

Exacly MaulFan. I want the Skull there, but I dont want to see it....McF got that right, you can sorta kinda see it, but unless you took off the dome, you wouldnt even know it was there...
