Definitely worth the trouble to fill out the form. Up to $400 for individual taxpayers and up to $800 for taxpayers married filing jointly.

If I'm not mistaken, this was already done through your payroll. Mine was anyway. I noticed right away when the credit ended in January. My check was about $15 less. I think that schedule M is for self-employed people or people who don't have taxes taken out of their checks.

I have no idea what that holiday credit thing is. I'll have to ask about it.

Ticks me off that my accountant didn't say anything about it last year.

i'm not self employed. i got this last year and this year. you guys better double check on that.

2009 I got a government check in mail. 2010 they took less out for federal taxes. About $15 a check. That ended at the beginning of the year, but I have no idea about the holiday tax thingy that's suppose to cover this year. My pay's the same.

Since I started my own business, I've owed a lot two, but I think I got my quarterly payments right for the first time this year. So I hope to actually get something back.

I don't pay quarterly. I'd rather my money sit in my account as long as possible earning for me.

I hear ya. But the little bit it would make me in interest isn't enough to pay for the moment when I hear the grand total at the end of the year and have to pony up the lump sum. :sick

Plus, I avoid the minimal penalty I would get for not filing quarterly.

My "earned" the $800. :panic: Already got my return, about a week ago.
