oh, that's where a thread for p1 modifications is.
the only thing i did to mine was correcting the eye lenses.
But the lenses aren't black; they're supposed to be mirrored with fine mesh over them.

they are when there is no flash. because the 3.5" disc material itself looks like glass.they're supposed to be mirrored
for p1 - no.with fine mesh over them
and i do appreciate the movie accuracy. in other way i would be happy with some wooden figure made by drunk sculptor.I could give two ^^^^s about how screen accurate it is
well, i think my way is a little easier. i took this:Used magnetic tape then attached. Bit hard to get in a fit i.e the cutting but does the job.
I have used the boiling H2O methed, and it has worked for me.
I used a rubber band to hold the dreds down, then put the head in a pot of boiling H2O for about 2 minutes, and then run cold H2O over them. All of the ones that I have done this to have remained flat. I used several popsicle sticks to stick in the Pred's neck hole so the entire head doesn't just float in the H2O.
lollerskates.I didn't like this mod either, didn't seem to improve the appearance IMO. I could give two ^^^^s about how screen accurate it is, I just want it to look good on the shelf and IMO, the more detail (i.e. mesh) looks better than less detail (i.e. flat black).
did you repaint the armor or it is just photo effect?

and you've got excellent effect.Fully repainted.
nope. the dreads have a small piece of wire inserted at the top where they connect to the head.Looks much better now. Excellent job on the dreads repositioning. They hang pefectly now. Is that the sock and hot water trick?

it looks awesome and i had the same thing done to mine (thanks, Alice).
definitely worth it. i won't have to worry about the dreads ever warping again. That's a lot of extra work, but well worth it. Thanks for the tip.

i probably did that hot water/rubber band trick 4-5 times and i finally got fed up and had them modded.
i sent mine to Alice to mod because i'm too chicken^^^^^ to yank the dreads out of a $130 figure myself.so do you send out the head and get it modded or do it yourself? i cant seem to find the post on here where it's shown how to do it

there was a topic on how to do it here a while ago. might be a pain to find though.
