The muscles are wrong. The triceps should be thicker on the inside of the arm not the outside and the biceps should curve into the body not away from it.

Cajunsith and SS, thanks. I'll give that a go when I take all the armor off to repaint it... maybe sometime this coming week. I need to go get some green paint. Have plenty of browns.

Any detailed pics of this neck mod? P1 looks 100 times better IMO, I always thought he looked a little short necked.

Sorry didn't think I'd get home at 3am last night. Was expecting to be home at like 10pm.

Here ya go. Just a ring of polystyrene colored black with a marker just in case it peeks out a bit. I have no idea why it still works but the head still pops onto the ball fine despite being raised about a 1/4 inch higher. That shouldn't work, maybe there's some give at the base of the shaft the ball is connected to.

Thanks Dedguy, now I see what you did. I tried an alternate method, I cut a piece of 1/4 inch felt the same circular size as the neck plug & pushed it into the head hole where the neck plug fits. The head still fits nicely on the neck & it looks pretty natural. You were right, most of the lack of height was from the neck being too short. I just can't believe how much difference a little neck mod makes!! :duff

Yeah I think other than the mask mod this one has made the biggest difference for me in how much I like the figure. Oh and is it just with mine or does stability go right out the window when you take the head off? I couldn't get the headless body to stand at all where as I have no issue with the headed body.

 I'm not sure, I left the P1 body on the stand when I removed the head. Many thanks to Dedguy for his mod ideas!!! Here are pics of my neck modded P1.

Man I haven't looked at mine unmasked with the neck mod but it looks better unmasked as well.

I swapped the arms on mine. Was pretty simple but falls into the catagory of another mod I've done most people won't even notice. The shoulders being swapped also looks better as the larger part of the shoulder is at the back where it's meant to be. It was pretty painless though. I thought I was going to have to crack open the upper arms to get them off the shoulders.

I do think it's a CRAZY improvement over the original mask which is simply unacceptable. I don't know why they made it so thick for one, the shape is all wrong, and it hangs way off the face. It often looks okay in pics because you can't tell how much is sticks forward off the face.

How the mask looks like from the inside? (after remolding)

i did it with my P2 long ago, but it was such pain in the ass that i don't want to bother myself again.
BTW these parts are really sculpted to be placed this way, because when you change places, shoulder armor holders fit the hand a lot better.
...at least for P2 with a very special profile or shoulder armor.
P1 has plain shoulder armor dish.

I removed everything from the upper body including the body stocking which I just pulled down around the waist.

Here ya go. Basically just thinned out the inside a whole bunch. Mostly just the face area the cheeks in particular. You can also sorta see how I did the three "tubes" from the temple and the one from the jawline. As I think I mentioned before I used leather lacing.

See, that's the thing a fan notices!
I'm just a casual fan when it comes to preds (although I love them), and although I always felt there was something a bit off about HT's pred, I would've never been able to figure all those little details out.
Great job!

Oh, I didn't notice them either. I was just bored and my hobby is 1/6 customization so I spent loads of time looking at stills and screencaps and even had a friend who got to take close up pics of the actual film-used suit which is on display at Winston studios.

Before Hot Toys put out their toys I couldn't have even told you what the differences where between the first and second film Predators.

I knew there would be at least one person to say it was overdone. To that I say look at the reference pics I used.

And yes, I do intend to eventually do this to the maquette, but not anytime soon.

Wow, thanks for the reference shots. Awesome mod. I always thought the ammo was kinda dark greenish but when the Hot Toys Pred 1 came out and it was silver i just thought "hmm, maybe it just looks darker in the film" but those shots look awesome. I also thought the skin should have been darker, more like the Wolf Predator colour. Maybe im wrong tho.

Anyway, once again, awesome mod SS.

the HT armor does have a bit of a green tint to it but it's minor.
