The armor (including med kit) I just bought off the bay cost $55 shipped. I would have loved it if it were cheaper, but it's worth it to me to make my elder more accurate.

Waitaminute... so the armor of P1 could actually fit on the P2 elder's body? I'm interested in doing such mod myself, but wanted to wait out and see first. So did you take off the batteries etc?
No modding needed to put the P1 armor on the P2 Elder. It fits perfectly. It's the same sculpted armor as the Elder, they just added a removable med kit and batteries, but the fit is exaclty the same.
All you have to do is switch the chest strap. Rip off and reglue. Easy peasy.

SS, sorry for sounding ignorant, but what is the advantage to making the switch? I'm guessing so you can have the built in batteries to power the laser sight you are putting on the canon...
That's one advantage. The other is that you get full articulation out of the cannon, and you can have it go into sleep mode. Also, HT seems to have given the cannon more distance from the head, so the (Elder) Predator's dreads aren't all over it.

the reason i want to do it is because it just looks more accurate.
in the movie, the elder's cannon wasn't right next to his head. it was way out over his shoulder.
also, yes, it would be awesome to have the sight light up. even though i'd have no clue how to do that.

The site doesn't exist on the figure cannon, but could be scratch built.
Yeah, in the movie the whole shoulder assembly is kinda hanging off at an angle.

I got my Predator last wendsday and I have to say this thread has helped a lot. Thank you guys for all the post you have put up on here. The Predator figure is by far the coolest HT figure that I have!
That's what this site's all about. It's helped me out plenty, and in many different ways.

Here is my contribution to this thread. I removed the original lenses & added my own. I used clear clamshell packaging, just painted one side black. In hand, the lenses look a lot better than in the pics. Sorry for the crappy pics, my camera sucks.

That's exactly why I bought 2 of these.
1 to leave original, & 1 to customize. This Predator is the BEST one Hot Toys made by far!!! 
I've been thinking of doing a lens replacement too, but I'd go for the mirrored sunglasses approach. Just not sure of the best way to get the little grid line on the lenses.
