I'm impressed. Did a good job setting up conflict between Clark and the people he's protecting ... a conflict almost entirely unexplored by Donner. I like the black background on the S.

Music was a little schmaltzy, though.

Yeah ... sounded like the schmaltzy wheatfields theme from Gladiator. Gladiator is one of the better soundtracks out there, so that's not a bad thing. I think I'd have picked something a bit more pounding for at least the end of that trailer, though.

What a tease of a trailer, so many glimpses of awesomeness but almost no money shots

Smart trailer. The suit looks amazing. The cinematography really reminds me of Terrence Malick's films. Lots of lingering shots of nature

This looks fantastic. Cavill looks perfect as Superman costume looks great. Zod looks badass. I like the look of the film and Nolan's influence can definitely be seen. Music sounded like a riff on Gladiator, and then of course you see Russell Crowe as Jor El. My #1 most anticipated film of 2013.

In the comics he shaved with his heat vision reflected off a mirror.

Better get used to that Gladiator redux music as Zimmer is sure to bring Gerard back.
That sounded like it was composed just for the trailer however.
