If all it took for Zack to "grow" as a filmmaker was story input from the Nolan's then Chris Nolan could also learn a thing or two from Zack about capturing the essence of a comic book source material in a serious action film.

I don't think as many people will give Nolan most of the credit as I'd feared. One of the best things about this film is that it embraces its subject matter and you can feel an earnest love of the classic Superman seeping through the film. That most definitely did not come from Nolan.
