Epic is JW Superman music that has lasted for over 3 decades, is instantly recognizable for what it was created for, still sounds amazing and is used at freaking water parks, ice rinks, and stadiums.

That's epic.

I think it would be cool if they threw in some JW music in like the middle of the movie as like a quick Easter egg or something. Like when he first puts on the suit.

I don't have a problem with borrowing elements from the comics as long as the overall MAIN story isn't simply something I've seen or read before. (Unless it's something that's meant to be a straight adaptation, the the DC Animated movies).

Over The Dark Knight Trilogy, the Nolans and Goyer borrowed heavily from Year One, Killing Joke, Long Halloween, KnightFall, No Man's Land (and probably some more that I can't think of now), but it wasn't a straight rethread of an exact story we've seen before. Now granted, there are some aspects of Superman's lore that have to be in place...Jor-El has to send him to Earth to save him from his doomed planet, just as surely as Bruce Wayne's parent's have to get killed in front of him. But it seems to very specifically mirror some scenes from the Donner films, the main one that irked me is the similarity between:

Zod warning Jor-El that his heirs will kneel before him in the Donner films, and here threatening "You think your son is safe? I WILL FIND HIM!" (looks like he's talking to the Kents in at least part of that, but that's probably just how the trailer is cut). The beef between Zod and the family El seems very personal in both movies. Maybe how it's meant to be.

Again, that's just judging from the trailer, which I will happily admit, has probably successfully misled me about how the plot actually flows and how much weight is given to different parts of the story.

I wish I could have read Superman New Krypton then I could a further insight in to the Zod lore. I mean I can literality see which comics they pulled to produce the main story arch and I hope they give the original writers the credits the deserve for coming up with the original source material for the movie .

Yeah the battle in "smallville"{ between superman and the kryptonians is reminder of superman 2 and maybe they did that inorder to bring some nostalgia to the movie.

But I am assuming that the following superman movies will no doubt contains Brainic and Doomsday just because the have has such a presence in the comic and branica in the Cartoons probably laced with Luther in the middle somewhere most probably with Doomsday as he is mindless beast and Luther would the mind behind him

Great trailer but man, that score did nothing for me, it was very bland, Eh, hopefully that's not the main theme.

Superman in action looks brilliant, and I bet the fight with Zod is going to really kick arse.

The Desolation of Smaug, Man of Steel, Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Wolverine, 2013 is going to be sweet.

Lexcorps building is seen in the shot where some "huge thing" breaks up in pieces and showers the city. So, yeah the rumor that Lex is in it in some capacity was apparently true.

They might be doing what ASM did, have Lex' influence and existence in the universe but not shown yet.

My bet is that at the end of the film he shows up condemning Superman for being an "evil alien who still cannot be trusted" and putting all of Lexcorps at the government's disposal to come up with countermeasures against him.

One can see this coming a mile away. 2012 was The Avengers vs TDKR and this year will be Iron Man 3 vs Supes. Gonna be an annoying summer of pettiness in this section.

Judging by this and 2 trusted sources that tell me this is a kick *** movie, I'm comfortable saying this IS the SuperHero movie of the year!! !

And yeah... that score sucked *****...
