I think they have to in order for it to connect across all audiences. Plus, if he was impenetrable god, there wouldn't be much resistance in the movie.

They have to weaken him from the CR version (moving planet and all that jazz) if they're going to have a film without kryptonite.

If they don't use kryptonite wouldn't it just be two invulnerable beings beating each other senseless to a standstill? Although I guess there was that negative zone bs...

Been wondering about some parts f the story...

We know that on krypton, babies are engineered in some way but kal el has been conceived old school. Making of Jor el a rebel of some sort.
In this last Tv spot you can see a blade coming from his armor, and also his wife is alone when the destruction occurs on krypton.
So there s got to be some sort of last stand scene for Russell Crowe vs kryptonian soldiers, maybe even against Zod himself who was sent to retrieve/kill baby kal el. Kal el is sent to earth, soldiers arrives, jor el put hs armor on, Zod arrives with his troops, fight ensues, Jor el injure Zod near the eye leaving him with a scar ( that can be seen in one Tv spot) Zod the born warrior kills Jor el.
Zod is considered to have gone too far by killing Jor el and is punished by being sent to the phantom zone (probably an of world Space station prison in this version).
Now i wonder if he has caused the destruction of krypton in some way too...

Pretty cool idea and quite plausible. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like this.

yeah, if Burton hadn't already done it in 89? It is nice though.
But I have to say, I'm pretty damn sick of that red metallic S. The S on the suit is fine, just this damn graphic.
It's been over used IMO, the whole marketing of this movie from a graphic design point of view has been pretty ****. I don't personally like one of the posters, not one.

The trailers have been generally awesome though, but they don't really give a feel for the movie itself I have to say.



This was a beautiful poster...

LOVE that poster and love the film.
