Re: The Man of Steel

It is forbidden. It is forbidden.

Yep, thats why I like it I guess! I have an original (without supes) framed on my wall, all time classic poster. Isn't it strange though for all the hullabaloo that Nolan/Warners and co made about this being a shockingly fresh original take on the material, that they are still relying so much on the previous movies? Not the original comics, but the original movies...even Returns..

and least we forget our black clad bad guys with a score to settle....

Re: The Man of Steel

But that CR poster blows away the new one.

I wonder if Cavill will succeed at making folks think about him first when Superman is brought up, or will it always be CR.

Not an easy thing to accomplish.

Especially since CR played Clark just as good as he did Superman.

Going to be weird if there is no reporter Clark in MOS, but i'm ready for anything new.

I hope that instead of a reporter, Clark is a bouncer at an all male strip club or is a CNN anchor.

Re: The Man of Steel

Looks like Clark the reporter will appear in the end.
Really wonder how they will deal with it...

The copy-editor in me thinks it's really interesting that they capitalized "Krypton" on that poster, but not "Earth". The comma after "earth" is oddly placed, too.

Yes, these are the weird things I sometimes notice. :lol

Things like that annoy me too. :lol grammatically speaking, that comma shouldn't be there. And, annoyingly, I'm now second guessing my own punctuation. :gah: :lol

I often read newspapers or magazines and notice countless gramma mistakes or spelling mistakes and think "nobodies perfect, but this is your job" :lol

Re: The Man of Steel

You failed to catch the "gramma" slip, Irish. However, I suppose that could've been Russell's way of letting us know that he is actually Michael Caine

Re: The Man of Steel

Anyone see the commercial about getting early screening tickets at WalMart on the 18th??

I notice those things too unfortunately, I was a graphic designer before getting into film so I also notice bad kerning and use if negative space. It's a curse. :lol

No, but I know about it. Walmart stores are selling a limited amount of tickets to screenings at local theaters this Saturday at 8am. I believe the screenings are for 7 or 8pm Thursday June 13. So it's just the night before. They'll also already be taking pre-orders for the DVD/Blu-ray, which has gotta be a record. :lol

Before the movie even comes out. :lol :lol

I think IM3 did that as well. The Bluray PO's are up on Amazon, and were so before opening night.

Crazy world we live in :lol
