Re: The Man of Steel

You know moose, can I call you moose, my hopes for a Mandarin assault vehicle battle in IM3 also never came true.

Ultimate Showdown my ***.

Man I feel you they mislead us completely about the Mandarin was their not also a speed boat sequence lego set that had war machine talk about misdirection.

If the trailers matched what we got I suppose most of us would not be as pissed but when out expectations were not fulfilled it just added to insult to disappointment

Re: The Man of Steel

Never trust the toys. Spiderman 3 had a lizard toy and the dark knight rises had a different batman suit toy that people thought JGL would wear. Turns out he was just a poor excuse for robin and lizard was in a reboot.
Toys are always misleading

Re: The Man of Steel

I strongly disagree.

I think he delivers the following beautifully!

"You will give the people an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders."

The message he's saying is nice, but the delivery, while good, is not Brando.

Delivery is absolutely fine in my eye. Certainly nothing to get hung up about. Wouldn't be fair to compare him against Brando either.

Yeah, its just too pale of a comparison. I get almost a Saturday Night Live vibe from it. Maybe if not for Brando's I would think it sounded great. :dunno

Re: The Man of Steel

I think Crowe is looking and sounding excellent. I may even be most excited to see him on screen in this part out of the entire cast.

Brando was great, but much like the John Williams theme, it's time to move on. I'm looking forward to what this film has to offer that is fresh. Superman Returns borrowed Brando's performance and the John Williams theme, and no one was happy with that either.

Re: The Man of Steel

Give Crowe a break, Brando stands alone in film and his place in Superman lore.
That said I would've like to have seen Jon Hamm as Jor El, he looks like he woudve been the father of Cavill/Superman.
