Re: The Man of Steel

The thing that gave it away, for me, was the cheesy CG Supes at the end. Not to mention the fact that, if YouTube was around when Supes was a baby, the movie would take place in a future almost 30 years from 2006 at the earliest. Also, Amy Adams, who plays Lois Lane, does not sound like Trisha Takanawa from Family Guy.:lecture:lol

Yea, the superman at the end looked like crap.

Re: The Man of Steel

Lol
Tought about Supes 2 also.
So Superman return was a remake/reboot of superman and man of steel a reboot/remake of combining the first half superman with Supes 2 ^^!
I m kidding since its clear theres Lot of new stuff, angle but yet its funny...

Flipped trough Earth one and looks like a lot was taken from it no?

Zack Snyder Superman Short Announced
New logo unveiled alongside plans for an animated short that will be produced by the Man of Steel helmer.
May 30, 2013
by Chris Tilly
To celebrate Superman’s 75th year, a new character logo - which can be viewed below - was launched today, while plans for an animated short have also been announced.
Man of Steel director Zack Snyder is producing the two-minute film, which is currently being made in Los Angeles, London and Korea.

And while details are currently thin on the ground, Heat Vision reports that the film will be made up of one continuous shot that pays tribute the character’s many iterations over the last 75 years, meaning that the short will homage “Max Fleischer’s cartoons, on-screen portrayals by George Reeves and Christopher Reeve, iconic versions drawn by artists Wayne Boring, Curt Swan and Neal Adams, up on through Henry Cavill’s interpretation in Man of Steel.”
Bruce Timm, Jay Oliva, Geoff Johns, Mike Carlin and Peter Giraldi are all collaborating with Snyder on the endeavour, with the short debuting at this summer’s Comic-Con before being released across multiple platforms in the autumn.
The logo meanwhile, will be used by all Warner Bros. and DC divisions in Superman-related products and initiatives.

Chris Tilly is the Entertainment Editor for IGN in the UK and likes the sound of this short. He regularly rambles on both Twitter and MyIGN.

Re: The Man of Steel

So if my understanding is correct, they're gonna use that same s logo for all superman related stuff? Merchandise, animations and even the comics?

Re: The Man of Steel

The short could be interesting. Although when I read short film I was thinking 10 or 15 mins, then read 2 mins. Now that IS a short film. Haha.

Regards to the s symbol, I do love the design for the movie, not sure how I feel about them adopting it for the comics as well though. Could be cool.

Re: The Man of Steel

Wow, so glad they redesigned the "S", why people had any interest in Superman before now... :dunno
