After thinking about it, I’ve really cooled on prequel figures and collecting in general. Phantom Menace figures are bottom of the detolf displays for me, no matter what. I would still get them because I’m mentally unstable, but I’m starting to not care. Too many releases, too many exclusives, too many reissues, and ridiculous prices are ruining the hobby for me. The only figures I’m somewhat excited for are the sideshow aliens (terribly overpriced but they have me by the plums), Chewbacca (ridiculously overpriced, should have had a version without c3) and Han. I need to go home, take some death sticks, and rethink my life.

I totally agree there. Too many figures and I’m also scaling back. I’m more of an OT guy and am concentrating on those (very few) releases.

That being said, I still want the most iconic prequel figures - one shelf per move. And for me TPM is Maul, Jar Jar, Qui-Gon and OOM-9.

I can't decide if I think they'll actually release this one or not. I would love to have it, hell make it a two pack with Watto. I'd buy that too.

Give me all TPM figures...

I'm still waiting for Padawan Obi-Wan but I just KNOW they will not use Ewans likeness for it. Zero chance on that so I'd prolly just end up skipping it anyway.

Feels like if they were going to do it, it should have been sometime last year for the TPM 25th anniversary. I know anniversaries don't mean much to Hot Toys, but still.

I guess the good news here is that after Andor airs there is literally nothing Star Wars on the horizon. Ahsoka season 2 hasn't start filming yet, Mando & Grogu movie is out in 2026 if no delays, everything else moving forward is still in development. Not even a new game to look forward to until Jedi 3.

Hot Toys is probably leaning into some more Legends stuff for a reason, but there's only so much they can make that really makes sense, especially in a time when people are scaling back collecting. Perfect time for them to revisit the OT and PT. Maybe Jar Jar has a chance.

Well, Disney is starting to accept that SW is essentially a dead brand under their own umbrella. From the ST onwards, there's not much money to be made.

I'd wager HT realizes this as well. It's OT/PT or bust, at some point. Andor is not going to set the world on fire. As much as I enjoyed the first season, I've no interest in revisiting it after idk how many years. That ship sailed.

Hot toys didn’t bother make cassian from rogue one or any figures from the first season. That doesn’t bode well.
I’m Glad hot toys has pumped the breaks on Star Wars. It was too much last year.

Yeah, lots of great SW/DC releases last year. But you'd better believe, Marvel is their bread and butter. And Disney is about to ramp up their Marvel crap again. You're in no danger of NOT getting another 5+ years of Marvel figures from HT... again...

Oh joy..
