hah i woulda gotten rid of all of them a long time ago. probably would have spent the money on alcohol and dohnuts

I'm going to decorate my room at the nursing home with them, hopefully scarying all the other old people away so they'll leave me alone. I'll have one of my Aragorn pieces buried with me and the rest my family, whoever they are, can fight over it.

Since all the "old people" will be the same age there about as you don't you think they would be taking a liking to your collection than run away. They grew up with the same movies. Not much of a generation gap in a nursing home.

They'll all be senile but me. :D

btw......I was just joking about the whole thing.

Meh, Some of you think way too highly of your collection. Jesus, they're material possesions. Enjoy them now! In 50 years i could care less what happens to them. If i still have them i still have them, if i don't i don't.

ah, a very buddhist perspective. :peace

i feel the same way. in the end, material possessions are all immaterial.

still, it would be nice if some pieces could be considered family heirlooms and be appreciated by my (future) grandchildren...

Yay :chew
Someone at last, gets the damn point!

My mum (mom to our yankee doodle cousins:banana ) gave away my whole comic collection when I was a kid.

Came home, no collection.

I had Spidey, I had Ironman, X-men, Hulk and so on. Damn near perfect collection.
I had 2000AD from #1 onwards. #2 is worth about $450 on it's own:banghead

I could have killed her :rotfl

my sympathies, axel. your mom gave away a small fortune. :horror

ok, off-topic but true story nonetheless... when i was a lil kid, i dunno why but my dad got me a chick as a pet (a baby chicken, not a hot girl). i loved that chick. everyday, when i got home from school, he would greet me like a pup, clucking happily and running around me in circles. but one fine day, i came home and there was no sign of him. i went to the back of the house and smelt something roasting. yup, my (visiting) grandma had cooked him for dinner! she grew up on a farm so to her chickens are food, not pets. :monkey2

i didn't speak to my granny for a month.

Sorry man, I feel your pain.

Doesn't compare to a comic collection though:sick

I will sell all my stuff down the line (probably when I retire) and travel with that money. I may keep one or 2 items but other than that I say f--- it. Unless your kids really love your collection as much as you do just sell everything and use the money to enjoy and see the world a bit. I don't want some punk relative being surprised that my Hulk PF is worth thousands so he can buy a used car.

I will wonder why I spent all this damn money on toys instead of investing in something which may actually make a return on my investment. The right stock, lottery ticket I could have retired much earlier :banghead

Oh well, they will look sweet as hell in my new media room :D
