Well if its Tuesday all I have is a class from 9:30 - 11 and its the first day so it should take all of 15 minutes. So you dont think they will have it up some time next week. Do you know what time they normally put stuff online in eastern time. I would just like to get Mara. This will probably be my first and only Gentle Giant mini bust. If I get this one I may get the Luke to go with it though.

That is completely out of there hands, they are probally all sent at one time. Different mail servers work faster then others, some are more overloaded then others, some accounts have different priority. There are so many factors that will effect delivery time. If you are worried add multipule email addresses to there system. This will increase your odds on getting a fast delivery.

If the link gets posted, I can guarantee that our chances of getting one will be reduced to nothing. The best thing to do is make a post saying that it's available, and then send PMs or e-mails with the link, but DO NOT post the link on the boards or all of the lurkers and scalpers will see and beat the members to it. It's going to be stressful enough no matter what, but if we can help each other out and not the lurking scalpers, there will be more happy collectors at the end of the day and fewer rich opportunists. There are people who just silently watch the boards without participating (or collecting anything themselves), just to see when something limited goes on sale so they can swoop in and buy one (or five) and then turn around and sell it to us for 5x the price. Let's not make their lives any easier.

Jlcmsu - My wife and I are both first time teachers this year. I am nervous as well... I am just planning to keep one day ahead of the kids. If I make it to school on time with my pants on I will feel successful.

If it is anything like the Blackhole Stormtrooper, they will send an e-mail to club members letting you know when it will be on sale. Then you follow the e-mail link at that time. It is hard to buy during a sale like that because their shopping cart is a joke.

Last time, I went through and completed my order in about 10 minutes. At the end it told me they were sold out. But could still add the bust to your cart so I tried again. That time I got all the way through and it told me I didn't put in any of my information which was total bull. At that time I had to quit because I was at work.

I know there were lots of people who got one ordered after it told me they sold out. They didn't actually sell out for 30 minutes. But then GG told people that they oversold the bust through the shopping cart so they couldn't honor some people's orders. They ended up giving them a really cool compensation package though.

GG makes good products but all their exclusive and ordering process are ridiculous.

You're right there they can. My fear isn't so much being in the room with kids because I know I can do that. It's more that my best with the kids won't be enough to make the district happy. I'm fun but tough in my classroom so things usually go well for me.

I'm teaching 5th and 6th grade Computer Classes.

Those can be tough years. You'll have a few smart ***** and that's the age that some start testing boundaries. Still better than high schoolers or middle school though.
