Those can be tough years. You'll have a few smart ***** and that's the age that some start testing boundaries. Still better than high schoolers or middle school though.

It'll be fun. I've dealt with some of those kids before working at the daycare run by the school district. Though, in the future I want to move up and teach HS.

GC and Josh, remember kids can sense fear. And they feed off it. You must show confidence! And single out the bastard (every class has one), and make an example out of him. If you can make him cry, even better.

What grades are you teaching by the way?

I am teaching 6th grade (all subjects) Math, Language Arts, Science, History, Music, P.E., Computer... I have 32 kids all day long.

My wife is teaching 5th-8th grade Band.

I too am not afraid of the kids. I feel that I am going to be a crappy teacher and that my principal is going to think I suck. The California Government is nuts about TEST RESULTS, TEST RESULTS, TEST RESULTS and that freaks me out a bit.

If the link gets posted, I can guarantee that our chances of getting one will be reduced to nothing. The best thing to do is make a post saying that it's available, and then send PMs or e-mails with the link, but DO NOT post the link on the boards or all of the lurkers and scalpers will see and beat the members to it. It's going to be stressful enough no matter what, but if we can help each other out and not the lurking scalpers, there will be more happy collectors at the end of the day and fewer rich opportunists. There are people who just silently watch the boards without participating (or collecting anything themselves), just to see when something limited goes on sale so they can swoop in and buy one (or five) and then turn around and sell it to us for 5x the price. Let's not make their lives any easier.

Ok I didnt even think about that. Good point. I just hope I can get one of these.

Well I think I may have found another Gentle Giant product that I want. The Slave Leia that they showed at Comic Con is great. I want one of those. Has anyone heard when they will go on sale and for how much. I was so happy about SSC Jabba display that I didnt even see the Slave Leia in all the coverage I looked at. I wonder how big it will be. Anyway I guess Ill be wanting to get two Gentle Giant products now.

Everything GG does is either 1/6 or 1/7 scale. I'll bet this is 1/6 so it should be the size of a SS 12". Except that she's laying down so it won't be but 5-6" high.

Just be sure to order this through a retailer to save some money.

Ill probably have to hide this thing for a while and just let it turn up when I get my Star Wars collection out of the bonus room upstairs in year or two to put in my collecting room. Do you think the thing will cost over 150. I would really rather it be about $100 and I could just pass it off as a special sideshow release. I just hope they dont change a thing about it. Most everything from GG sees a price drop once they start shipping. I'm waiting on the Obi statue because I have a feeling I'll be able to get it for around $100. I'm not so sure about this one. There was a lot of buzz about it during SDCC. I imagine it'll be around $140-150 from a retailer.
