I'll be getting one of these instead of a PF Doom. Saves me $990.99:chew
There is no comparison.

That Doom looks great but I know I'll never find it at retail.

My area is full of Marvel fans and I still can't find any Hasbro ML figures except Banshee :lol , which is one of the reasons I gave up ML figures months ago.

Off to ebay I go...:monkey3

Funny, that's the reason I gave up on 4" Star Wars. There's plenty of websites that have Legend figures available. Toynk has that 30% off coupon that you could use on the Hasbro Legends and Icons. I was very tempted to buy a few of the Toy Biz ones I missed.

The Punisher Icon just doesn't do it for me, that smiling headsculpt looks terrible. The body is good, just not the head.

Is Doom's mask removable like the smaller Marvel Legends figures?

hi, i read over here that it seems that while the mask can be removed by force, it isn't supposed to be a play feature.

Shaun how about a Dr Doom versus Medi Vader pic from your collection, that would look awesome.

Two of the most iconic villains in entertainment history in a battle to the death, go on give us a pic, you know you want to.

errr, hope this is ok, JTR.

I finally bought my Icons Doom today. There are a few issues with it I think collectors should be aware of.
-First the most glaring problem I have with the figure, his neck articulation is nothing more then a bloody Cut Joint! In this day and age when we get figures with individually articulated fingers, having a cut joint for a neck is completely unacceptable.
-He has no upper arm twist joints, so he can't rotate his arms inwards so he'll never semi cross his arms or have his forearms bent in front of his chest.
-His head is unusually small. It's way under scale, the reason it looks great in pictures is because the hood is covering up his head and his mask appears to be correct in scale and much larger then his head is.
The rest that follow are very minor nits:
His paint is rather bland, no washes what so ever. The only things painted here are his eyes and a little bit of his face underneath his mask and belt and belt buckle.
-His Luger is oversized for this scale, but if that's an issue you can very easily find a correct replacement from Dragon or DID.
-His feet can't pivot side to side at the ankle, so he can't really take a wide stance.
-His hips are 45° ball joint hips. Meaning you have to rotate his ball joints in order to get him to have his legs out to the sides or directly in front of him.

I also did manage to remove his mask, there's nothing underneath. They sculpted the area around his eyes and cheeks, at his forehead and mouth areas there are huge rectangular holes that allow corresponding plastic pegs to insert into. The mask alone however looks awesome without those terrible looking eyes staring through the eye holes.
Overall the figure has some problems but looks good in the few stances you can achieve and with the hood over his small head. If Hasbro didn't make those huge screw ups, this figure would've been perfect but as is, it's just merely acceptable.

A truly tricked out Doom with sculpted face under the mask would be the ticket for me. I'd buy it in a minute. Make the armor out of metal, and you can hold me up for BIG bucks!:D :chew

As incredibly nice as that would be the expense might push me away from owning one. But since DID delivered a completely metal Samurai, it's not impossible.

I gotta get 1 of these to tide me over until (hopefully) Medicom makes 1.
Yeah, I really hope Medicom does make one. It would be a huge seller, he's much more popular then Magneto. I just hope they stay far away from the crappy movie version.
