Episode 4 is fantastic, starts off like a second rate Raiders but then turns into something much more interesting.

He’s been talking to a celestial pigeon. “The hippo” is a prominent goddess in Egyptian mythology.I hated that hippo though, trust Marvel to ruin a great scene/sequence with something goofy.

She’s prominent in Egyptian mythology regarding birth, the afterlife, and rejuvenation.
Like, that’s true to Egyptian lore predating Moon Knight by thousands of years and for as weird as the episode was, her inclusion makes more sense than most of what we’ve seen.
It’s not like she wasn’t foreshadowed either.
Yes, because one of them is a god of vengeance, death, and the night moon, and the other is a fertility god associated with new life, children, and healing.I'm well aware, but there's a stark contrast in design between this

One of those looks good, the other does not.
It just doesn't look good though, that's what I'm trying to say. They could have made her look less goofy.Yes, because one of them is a god of vengeance, death, and the night moon, and the other is a fertility god associated with new life, children, and healing.
She’s been that way for over 10,000 years our time.
Given Marc/Steven’s current situation, she’s actually the PERFECT god to help right now.
I agree. I thought the ending of the episode was a great goofy twist. The ending of this one was amazing. Just the exact kind of surreal mindscrew nonsense I get from the comics.
Went from Raiders to a Men in Black movie. Needed to stick to the horror vibe.It just doesn't look good though, that's what I'm trying to say. They could have made her look less goofy.
Well, yes, but CGI tech is advanced enough so the hippo didn't need to look like a plastic Target display. Or maybe it was deliberately campy to go with some of the trippy cheek that went on?Yes, because one of them is a god of vengeance, death, and the night moon, and the other is a fertility god associated with new life, children, and healing.

Hippos themselves are actually terrifying, aggressive, territorial man-killing monsters that will chase people for miles.I really like the episode, and the new twist (and setting) the character(s) took.
But yeah, that final shot was a bit campy, although it made me laugh.
I do wish they had gone a more similar approach to Khonsu as a fantastic skeletal mummy
Hippo skulls are terrifying. That would have looked sensational.

Oscar is fabulous in this episode, but I have to ask: Who exactly is he stealing the show from? He's the main character!Oscar Isaac continues to steal the show.
