“He’s was nice boy who kept to himself and turned in his homework. Nobody never suspected he would do such terrible things….. until the night the phantom menace was released into theaters!”

That's so freaking awesome, lol.
Watched She-Hulk this morning before work and I thought it was really good. It reminded me of the Byrne run on her comic.
Just finished it now. I liked it. A bit rushed, especially the end. But I am looking forward to where this goes.
I enjoyed it too, just a really "fun" show. And I agree that Maslany is perfect both in human and hulk form.I stayed up for an immediate watch as soon as it was available (easier for me, being on the West coast).
Not too bad. There was a lot from the trailers in this 1st episode, so that took the edge off a bit.
Maslany is PERFECT, an amazing actress that was perfectly cast . . . which almost makes up for how annoying Ruffalo is.
I thought the visual effects were very well-done (with the exception of Titania's dodgy flying leap across the courtroom that was also in the trailers).
Some editing seemed a bit jerky, the story jumped around a bit too fast in places, and some of the lines were a little cringey (others were laugh-out-loud funny even 3rd or 4th time round!), and I'm hoping things will settle down a bit as we progress.
Overall - pleased with this. I can't help thinking they should have dropped the 1st 3 episodes together as a better introduction. Still . . . roll-on next weeks episode
.
It certainly doesn't deserve the vitriol it's getting from the usual "nerd outrage" circles.
I think saying that Banner was unfeeling and uncaring is taking the show a little too seriously. I mean you already acknowledged that it's basically a Teen Wolf style comedy and we already know in advance that her transformation doesn't ruin her life so there wouldn't be any sense in making it this big melodramatic thing. As for Hulk's "neutering"...I didn't really see it that way at all after watching it. Did you watch it?
I personally thought Hulk came off as unfeeling and uncaring more than being "neutered." He RUINED his cousin's life in an instant. Just like that, her life as she knew it was over forever. Sure, it might have been an accident, but other than a very quick "hey sorry about that" he shows no compassion or understanding about the fact that he has completely destroyed this young woman's life and only shows concern about containing her powers, and nothing at all about the emotional ramifications of this event.
More bad writing for Bruce Banner. Not that that's anything new in the MCU...
Nuff saidI think saying that Banner was unfeeling and uncaring is taking the show a little too seriously. I mean when you think about it Banner himself just experienced a car accident that injured him without causing him to transform. What if the same thing happened with the saw blades and Jennifer? Oops, that could have gotten messy, lol.
As for him being neutered I agree that he wasn't. If you didn't like Smart Hulk before then this show probably isn't going to change that but I don't see how anyone could accuse this show itself as neutering him. I mean just the one scene of him throwing the giant boulder into space was more impressive than anything he did in IW or EG so at least he's going in the right direction, lol.
Plus we saw in TIH that the first time he did "the clap" he nailed it causing a shockwave to extinguish the flames and save Liv Tyler's life. Jennifer didn't have the same luck and had to practice multiple times before getting her clap to work. Isn't that what the crying YouTubers are always complaining about? Women who are instant experts at the expense of men? Well this show did the opposite so credit where credit is due.
And anyone who doesn't like that she kept her personality and intelligence while in Hulk form can go back to 1980 and complain to Stan Lee I guess.
I do think this is consistent to MCU Bruce though. Of all the incidents concerning the Hulk, he feels "sorry" for it, but he never really addresses them doesn't he? He just works on "fixing" or "containing the issue" to prevent future problems from happening again rather than dealing with the repercussions of what he had done. And he's applying the same thing to Jen here.As for Hulk's "neutering"...I didn't really see it that way at all after watching it. Did you watch it?
