Marvel Studios - She Hulk

These episodes are getting worse each week. This is insane.

It's a Thursday afternoon and once again, I was bored, so I checked out the latest She-Hulk.

I rolled my eyes really hard again when the show tried to tell us how HARD and DIFFICULT and UNFAIR poor, poor Jen's life is as an attractive single female lawyer. I'd love to whine about how in no universe would a schlubby GUY be ignoring his attractive date to read texts and then stick her with the bill. That's exactly what women do to men. You can't just pretend the universe is Bizarro universe. And the guy being all "grossed out" cause the chick he banged the night before didn't look perfect in the morning? Gimme a friggin' break.

But....I remembered the Cardinal rule of "She-Hulk:" This show is not for me. I wasn't even supposed to be watching this, let alone be critiquing it. This show is for lonely fat women who want to watch the cute girl on TV get turned down by men and think "hey, that's just like my life! Maybe I'm cute, too!"

Men and women are really different. I'll just leave it at that.

I loved the character "Madisynn" cause she was so horrible and obnoxious and loathsome that it's about the only thing in this show that feels "realistic" (unlike Doctor Bodybuilder, the most ridiculous cartoon fantasy character in a universe populated by comic book characters.)

I hope Wong is tapping that. She and Wongers are instantly my favorite Marvel couple.

She would never leave him, and she would never hurt him, never shout at him, or get sober and lecture him, or say she was too busy to watch the Sopranos with him. She would always be there. And she would die to defend him. Of all the would-be strong and independent female heroes who came and went over the years, this girl, this ditz, was the only one who measured up. In an insane world, she was the sanest choice.

Awesome episode and a big improvement over the previous one. This show might be the very definition of fluff but at least it's entertaining fluff.

It's just DAMN GOOD FUN - something I GENUINELY look forward to each week. It's what ENTERTAINMENT is supposed to be . . . ENTERTAINING!

There's not many shows that I can watch for a 2nd time just a couple of hours after initial viewing - but this one fits the bill! (* mind you - that may be partially due to the runtime only being half the length it should be! *)

Yeah this is one of the few Disney+ Marvel shows that I can actually see myself rewatching at some point, just because Maslany is so damn perfect in the role and fun to watch.

Why is this the only marvel show out of the last 3 or 4 that’s even remotely watchable? With all its horrible CGI? Because it’s FUN. It’s COOL. It’s relevant and it doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Maybe if I was 16 I’d find ms. Marvel anything other than cringeworthy and If I was on speed I might stay awake during Loki… and if I liked cheesy cliche plots with lack of direction I’d be ok with Moon Knight.

I just laugh at these IMDb or RT audience scores… meanwhile moon knight had a 7.3. With as piss poor as marvel has been since post Endgame I’m sure people who are fans of moon knight or Loki will have a lot more mediocrity to enjoy with everything coming. For now I’ll enjoy this very fresh breath of air that is She Hulk.

I do wonder if Marvel didn't overdo the comedy on their other films that this change of tone from their usual offerings would be welcomed more.

Anyway, CGI when she's in her lawyer uniform is atrocious. I would think only She-hulk's skin and features would be the issue with CGI but didn't expect the clothes to be CGI as well and look so bad and textureless. Her whole look is PS2/PS3 Jen graphics quality. I should probably copyright that.

It’s easier to do the whole thing cg rather than to try matchmove someone in a suit to the mo cap performance/animation.

Geez. Maybe it's just me growing up with Captain Power, but I think the CG is pretty good for a weekly comedy.
