So because *only* around 10% of victims are male it's okay? Because it's not that bad? Yeah, no. People should just not be gross or weird to eachother no matter their gender and regardless of statistics.

Nobody said its okay but the issue still stands. I get the ideal solution is for people to just not be wierd no matter the gender but we have to be realistic here right? The current society values different things and change, a very big change, is gonna take a lot of work and a lot of time.

I do think some people might be "hate watching" She Hulk

But I also believe there are people who are huge fans of Maslany and will follow her work where she goes, and are disappointed that show doesn't give her more to work with on a regular basis.

There were many times when the writing on Orphan Black was rough. But Maslany literally carried that show on her back with sheer will, charisma and being utterly fearless. She's a legitimate acting talent.

I'm a big believer if Feige had casted anyone but Maslany, that the flaws of this show would be far more evident to more viewers.

The way I see MCU shows, the shows I don't really like usually have the elements of a good show within them. Just unrealized. I was excited about The Falcon And The Winter Soldier. And then it just fell flat. But I understand that said "good show" was trapped somewhere inside of it.

Then some people will watch She Hulk for the cameos, where the show probably relies too heavily on them.

So if I can give Jessica Gao credit for something, at least the show is attempting to be "fun" But it's her version of fun and what she'd see as fun, which is going to alienate a large share of the potential audience. Where the pushback is coming from is the complaints within the show and on social media, which is a type of marketing strategy. There is a clear methodology to try to incite the audience. If you want to make a very personal show that speaks to mostly you as a showrunner, then OK. Ryan Murphy does that all the time. But don't complain if a wide section of the potential audience doesn't like it then.

The way She Hulk is being marketed online is inviting people to hate watch it. So I don't want to hear it from Gao or Feige or the MCU about the complaints and "fandom" You couldn't make a show good enough to stand on it's own, don't gaslight people into some kind of guilt for buying into your marketing strategy to compensate for those failures.
Yeah as much as toxic online trolls are a very deserving target, I do think the writers maybe delighted a little too much in trolling back at them, and making the show such a huge lightning rod, that it detracted from the She-Hulk character herself. And honestly those people are so cringey I just don't think they're worth all that energy in the first place.

I do think it’s a careful balance, but I also like that a character capable of breaking the fourth wall has her biggest adversary be the trolls in the real world, to the point she uses actual quotes from twitter and talks directly to them. It might be too clever for its own good, but I can’t think of any other character that could make it work on that level, not even Deadpool.

Personally I'd still rank Loki, Moon Knight, Wandavision and Hawkeye above all the Phase 4 films except NWH. As they felt far more bold and different than the much more formulaic movies.
I really liked Shang-Chi, but I keep forgetting it was a Phase 4 film.

Its kind of a toss up for me. I was pretty excited and invested in Falcon and Winter Solider and that turned out terrible. I'm tempted to say She-Hulk has been the worst so far, but Maslany is pretty charming, Tim Roth is always great, and Murdock was handled better than I expected. All that vs FATWS having pretty much just Zemo as the only real redeeming factor... So yeah I guess not quite the worst with Moon Knight still remaining the best.

None of these shows have beat Daredevil s1-3 on netflix for me so far though and they probably have 10 times the budget :lol

“Fan-baiting is a form of marketing used by producers, film studios, and actors, with the intent of exciting artificial controversy, garnering publicity, and explaining away the negative reviews of a new and often highly anticipated production.” - Thala Siren

MCU Hulk has had it way too easy. Especially since he's been an annoying grinning, taco-eating bore.

Comics Hulk was tragic. There's no happy ending for him. All roads lead to misery.

In Hulk: The End, he's the last living thing on Earth after the nuclear apocalypse. Just him and the bugs. Banner desperately wants to die, but Hulk won't let him. MCU Hulk has never had even an ounce of that kind of pathos.
