Moondragon better prepare for the DOOM(!) Dungeon!

darkreignstories31.jpg

PS: That's a canon "Doctor Doom Day-Dreams" story. And, apparently, part of his daydreams is Frost and Lady Loki (it's Loki in Sif's body, but at the time he couldn't change back to male form) in his dungeon. Also, it's canon that he also has a thing for Scarlet Witch (if it weren't for those pesky "heroes" they would've married back in Children's Crusade). Vic's one naughty boy...

I don't get what makes Dr. Doom such a big deal. He's just a burned human in a metal suit, like Vader without the force abilities :chase

Vader is a sissy who tried to commit suicide by building (it's in one of those now-non-canon Dark Horse books). Doom's got enough balls to throw the rotten corpse of a dead Asgardian in front of Thor:

Kidding aside, both are equaly great. Vader is actually my favourite movie character, with Doom being my favourite comic character. Now we just need them to team-up with Dracula, and I'm set (if it wasn't for that awful Captain Britain story, we would've had Doom & Dracul already!).

Suicide by building?

Do you think regular Doom, not God Emperor or some other version, just the regular version can take on Vader in a fight? Not movie Vader, he's weak as fudge.

Suicide by building?

Yeah, it was in a non-canon-now book. It was set a bit later than EPIII, where Vader is hunting down Jedi and getting used to his new body. At this point he's depressed as **** and starts seeing visions of Padme. At the end, where he's been captured, he breaks free and brings the building down, letting fate and/or the Force decide whether he's going to live or die. Naturally he lives. The Dark Horse Darth Vader comics were damn great. Hell, the Marvel one was great as well. But nah, Gillen had to give that up to write his SW OC...

It's a tough one, because the universes are so different. Vader has the Force, but Doom has magic that makes it look like simple TK. By Millar's retcon, Doom is thousands of years old and has completely changed his molecular structure to appear as non-human. He's essentially a transcended being. And he did that with dark magic and science. So in the end, it's a moot point. Doom has better feats in many areas, so I'd give it to him. Not that Vader wouldn't put up a fight and couldn't snag a few wins, but Doom is the very definition of OP at times. He's the real version of the "BatGod".

PS: And I'll say it again: That Doom/Dracula encounter has to be the most wasted potential ever. Which is a shame, since in the Ultimate Universe Vic was a descendant of Vlad Tepes. Ah, what could've been if not for idiotic writers...

PS: Now that Marvel has the SW license, I demand a Vader/Doom/Dracula team-up title. Dunno what it'd be about, but it'd be glorious...

I don't remember Maguire cryin' about how bad "Spider-Man 3" was or how he was personally violated by Hollywood. Also it looks like I understand life much better than Garfield even tho I'm a five years younger nobody from Russia. What a strange world... :lol

Would you like some cheese with that.....

Yeah just watch it lol

Hmmmm.....yeah, I don't know what to think about it. I understand what he's saying, but I'm a little surprised he didn't sound more appreciative/positive of the experience, given the enthusiasm he showed for the role, way back way. I remember him showing up to SDCC as a fan in a Spider-Man costume, surprising everyone and the excitement he had. I get though that the role wasn't all 'roses' and that Sony and the 'big wigs' had their motives - and it wasn't completely what he was hoping for - and I'm assuming most of that was aimed at ASM2.

In my heart of hearts I went into ASM2 actually assuming it would make me eat crow about the whole rebooting of the series. It did not. I came out thinking ''nope, still wish they'd just made Spiderman 4 with Tobey Maguire''

Yup, I was just thinking of his SDCC stunt which tells me now it was fake lol.

You know what, he was a decent PP and Spiderman, the change was 100% out of his control and he was not the cause of it so I get where he's coming from BUT c'mon he knew very well that Hollywood is corporate first.

Sony sure traumatized him :lol :lol

lol

I agree and agree again.

We dont know what went on behind the scenes. Dont forget he had to deal with amy pascal.
That would traumatize anyone lol

Yea. Sadly there was nothing I could say or do after that movie to defend it. It needed to go back to marvel. The series was just doing poorly. It had no direction and it was just stupid. Glad he's in the mcu where he belongs.
